Arabella's outfit for the first day of senior year! ⬆️

Arabella

Pulling into the parking lot of the first day of my senior year should make me feel sad. That's what everyone tells me, that I should be sad it's going to end. Honestly? I'm super duper excited! I've always loved school so I can't wait to graduate and go to college! I want to go and live in a dorm room and have the whole experience. Except the partying, that I can skip out on.

I pull my car into a spot and look around me. Everyone is gathered around their cars and on the front lawn steps talking as they catch up. Oh who am I kidding, they all probably hung out all summer, I'm the only one that doesn't go out much. I've never really been someone who likes going out into big crowds or even small ones.

"Beep! Beep!" A car horn blares next to me making me jump out of my skin. I place my hand on my heart to calm myself before looking to my left. Once I do I see a big blue truck parked next to me. I smile instantly as I grab my bag from the passenger seat and get out of the car.

"I could have drove you this morning." Comes the voice that always seems to brighten my day. I look to the front of the truck where Brody comes into view. I smile at him as he returns it.

"I have to stay after today and I didn't want to make you wait on me." I say as he stands right in front of me. He's taller than me but I'm only 5' 5" so that's not hard. I think he is 5'10" so I have to look up to him a bit.

"It's the first day how do you already have things to do after school?" He asks with a laugh making me chuckle.

"I mean you have practice after school, it's not that different."

"We'll at least mine doesn't start until next week." He says as he grabs my hand pulling me towards the building. Brody and I have been dating since we were fourteen. We plan on going to college together and finding a place together junior year so then we can get married after we graduate. Then we can get our careers straight and start a family in a nice house with lots of kids around!

Okay I may have gone overboard in planning our future but I can't help it, I love him!

A loud rumble of an engine enters the parking lot making Brody and I stop. He looks around for the source with confusion on his face. I turn my head to the right just as someone on a motorcycle comes around the corner. No one we know drives a Motorcycle so he must be new here. He pulls the bike into a spot by the front of the building and shuts it off.

"Must be a new student!" I say cheerfully at Brody as I look up to him. Brody looks more confused for a second before something clicks.

"That's not a new student, that's Xander Davis." Brody says making me frown. I thought he was homeschooled?

Xander Davis was a student in the grade above us. I take advanced classes in almost every subject so I had a few of them with him. We didn't talk much at all maybe one or two conversations. His junior year he disappeared. No one heard from him or saw him again. But that doesn't explain why he is back, even if he was homeschooled he would have graduated last year.

I look up at the parking spot again and see he has gotten off the bike and taken his helmet off. He's huge, even from here I can tell he is super tall. He's wearing dark jeans that are a little worn and a black long sleeve shirt that looks too small from how many muscles he had. Oh my.
