I can't stop moving in my seat and it's been like this all day! I physically can't stop fidgeting waiting for school to be over. Dad said he would be home right around the time I will be and I'm so excited!

"Okay, what the fuck is going on either you today?" Xander says with a chuckle. Poor him he's been a victim to my fidgeting. I keep bumping him or the table shakes from my leg bouncing. He hasn't said anything all day about it so I'm surprised it took him until right before school is over.

"My dad will be home after school so we can spend time together!" I say excitedly. I turn to him and he looks amused.

"We'll don't you guys do that all the time? What's so special about this time?" He asks. His question is innocent but I stop smiling when he asks. I haven't told him I live alone. I mean dad will only be home for a week before he goes back. So I go with a safe answer.

"We'll with his schedule it's hard to spend quality time with him in a large amount. He's off the next couple days." I say. Before he answers the teacher speaks.

"Alright So I'm giving you your first presentation assignment. You and your partner will get together and make a PowerPoint about each other." A few students groan at that.

"I know, I know but this is the first presentation you will be giving. So you will spend some time learning facts about each other, hobbies and favorite foods things like that. When you have it all together you'll make a PowerPoint comparing the things you like, how they can coordinate into one or how they are just completely different. It only has to be 5 slides. I want to see where everyone's strengths are." She says as she hands back the project packet.

"These are due for presentation on Monday. That gives you the rest of the week and the weekend. Everyone have a great evening." As she says that the bell rings. After gathering my things I look up and see the teacher looking at me. I freeze but then realize she's looking at Xander.

She's got a look in her eye like she's wanting his approval. I look to him trying to be discreet and I see him nod at her. That's really weird. She's leaving the classroom the same time we are so I tell her to have a good evening which makes her smile.

"You too Miss Stone. And to you as well Be" she coughs for a second before continuing. "Mister Davis." She says as she holds the door for us.

"So when do we want to work on this project?" Xander asks as we walk down the hall.

"I don't know, when are you free from work?" I ask knowing he works every day almost. I stop at my locker to collect everything I need before leaving. Once it's open I start doing that.

"I can be off work whenever I need, I just do the work another time." He says as he leans against the locker behind my open door. He only ever stands on that side of it.

"Well I'll be with my dad tonight so how about we do after dinner tomorrow? I'll have dinner with my dad and then you could come over." I suggest. He thinks about it for a second. Which gives me time to grab my last book and close my locker.

"Actually could you come out to me? I have something I need to take care of right after school." Now we are in the parking lot walking to my car.

"That shouldn't be a problem." I say. "But I'll talk to later? I really want to get home." I say hoping he doesn't get mad.

"Of course. Have a good time. I'll see you later." He says as he turns to walk away. Once I get my backpack thrown into my back seat I hear me name being called. I turn to look behind me and see Brody running to me.

I smile at the thought he came to say hi even though he has practice. His football practice starts today. I think in like twenty minutes.

"Hey!" I say as he makes it to me. But then I notice the state he's in. His eyes are puffy and he looks panicked. "What's wrong? I ask immediately concerned.
