'Childhood is not from birth to a certain age. And at a certain age, the child is grown and puts away childish things. Childhood is the kingdom where nobody dies.'
Elijah's POV:
It's been a few months since the fight. I've gotten a little better at controlling my thirst and my powers. I still don't fully know how it works; even when I think I have a grip on it, I start making random things float in the air. The other day Emmett scared me, and when I jumped, a window behind me shattered.
Right now, I was being forced to put things together for Bella and Edward's wedding. Alice was making Bella try and walk in heels. I don't understand why, Bella hates heels; shouldn't she be comfortable at her own wedding?
Maybe it's for the aesthetic but I digress. I was trying to practice floating one of the logs to where Alice wanted them when Bella called my name and took my focus away, causing me to drop it onto Emmett.
"Elijah!" Alice screeched at me "It wasn't my fault, Bella distracted me," I said throwing my hands in the air.
I walked up to Bella and grabbed her shoes, "You look like shit you need to relax and sleep." "I'm fine," She told me, "Just a little stressed for tomorrow." "Yes well that happens when you get married, but it will all be okay. I will be here all day and if you ever need to step out and have a twin talk I'm here." I told her, trying to calm her nerves a bit. She pulled me into a hug, making me tense a bit at her smell. But I hugged her back anyway, ignoring the dark thoughts popping up in my head.
Alice showed up a second later and told Bella the same thing I did. To rest and relax. The rest of the day was mostly spent putting things together for the wedding. I also helped Esme come up with what food we should offer at the reception, sure some won't be able to eat but the humans will and it would look weird if there wasn't food.
