Carlisle, Esme, and Jake devised an idea to stall Sam's pack so that some of the Cullens could escape through and hunt. Those of us who didn't leave to hunt were Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, Edward, and I. We stayed at the house with Bella so she wouldn't be alone.
Rose, Alice, and I were with Bella while she was telling us the horrible baby names she picked out. "Can't we come up with something just a little more classic?" Rosalie asked, practically begging Bella to rethink her names. "I mean, come on, Bella, I get you want the names to be unique, but please pick something more simple," I begged her.
Jake came back, walking up the stairs, and Edward met him at the end of them. "Thank you," Edward said to him "They make it out all right?" Jake asked concerned "Yeah." "Good."
Rosalie and I helped Bells get up from the chair she was sitting in to greet Jake. "Hey," She said to him, "Are you okay?" "Yeah, it's not like I'm the one carrying a demon," He said to her. "This is pretty important, Bella," Rosalie told her, "Why don't you tell Jacob what you've decided?" "What now?" Jake asked, nervous Edward smirked, "Rose and Eli are trying to talk Bella out of her baby names." "They hate them," Bella said "Well, then I'm on your side no matter what you picked," Jake told her. I rolled my eyes at him and waited until he hears them. "They're not that bad," Bella said, trying to reason with us, "If it's a boy, EJ. Edward Jacob." When she said that, both the boys smiled a bit. "Okay, fine, that one's not awful," Rose agreed with her, "Why don't you tell him the girl's name?" "I was playing around with our mom's names. Renee and Esme. And I was thinking...Renesmee."
To say Jake looked stunned would be an understatement. I had to keep myself from laughing at him as he stumbled over the name. "Too weird?" Bella asked him Jake didn't know what to say, so Edward jumped in for him, "No, it's not too weird. It's beautiful. And it's unique, which certainly fits the situation. I like Renesmee."
After the whole name thing was agreed upon, Rose leaned over to hand Bella her cup so she could get more nutrients in her. "He likes it," Bella said to Rose, causing her to roll her eyes.
But as fate would have it, her spine broke as Bella went to grab her cup. Then she fell to her knees, causing them to break. Everything moved in slow motion. Edward sped over to her, grabbing her head before it hit the ground.
