Nichollas's POV,

After my cousin's party ended, and I had a great time with Verrel, I finally started packing up to go home. I had to leave because I had classes to teach tomorrow and my regular practice at the hospital. As I headed towards the lobby to check out, I received a call from the hospital.

Nicholas Hospital Call.......

Dr. Nick : "Yes, what's the matter, doctor?"

Dr. Ryan : "Dr. Hyde, Nick. Nick he is not in stable condition and requires intensive care immediately. I called you because you're his son's boyfriend, right? Please inform future doctor Verrel."

Dr. Nick : "Wait, what? What's wrong with him, Ryan? Okay, I'll come as quickly as possible. By the way, could you give me more details about his condition?"

Dr. Ryan : "He has kidney failure, Nick. Our medical team is doing everything is possible. Hurry up and come, okay?"

Dr. Nick : "Oh my goodness, okay, I'm on my way now. Ryan, contact Dr. Peter and Dr. Kim, too. Tell Peter in London and Kim in Korea to come immediately, please."

I hung up the phone about Verrel's sick father. Verrel asked me what happened. Now, I had to be honest and explain it to him slowly, so Verrel wouldn't panic. Verrel listened, and he started crying. Honestly, it broke my heart to see him like that. Without delay, I quickly drove to the hospital with Verrel.

"Kak, I'm scared. How did this happen ? Papa never told me he had a kidney condition," Verrel sobbed, and I tried to calm him down.

"Maybe your dad didn't want to worry you, Rel. Don't be sad. I'm here with you, and I've already requested the best team of specialist doctors. My friend, a specialist from Oxford London, and another one from Korea. We will do everything we can to give the best care to your dad, Rel. Please, I feel sad when you're sad," I gently stroked Verrel's hair.

Verrel leaned against me and wiped away his tears. "Thank you, Kak. I love you, and I don't know what I would do without you. I would be so lonely facing this all alone," Verrel started to calm down, and I focused on driving.

We arrived at my hospital. I immediately went to meet Dr. Ryan, who was taking care of Verrel's father. I met him, and I checked on his condition. Verrel waited outside the intensive care unit. Dr. Ryan, along with a few of the best specialist doctors, was taking care of Verrel's father. I felt relieved to see that his condition had stabilized, but he still needed other necessary medical procedures.

"How about Dr. Peter and Dr. Kim ? Did they respond to my call, Dr. Ryan?" I asked Dr. Ryan.

"They are on their way, Dr. Nick. I'm worried, though. Dr. Hyde's condition has become quite severe, and we never knew about his illness," Dr. Ryan replied.

I sighed deeply. Honestly, I was scared too. The chances of Dr. Hyde recovering seemed slim, and I was worried about Verrel. I had to stay optimistic, hoping that Peter and Kim could also help with their expertise.

"Yes, Ryan, I'm puzzled and shocked too. Even his own son wasn't informed by Dr. Hyde. I'm concerned because Verrel is his only child," I confided in Ryan about this.

"Well, let's hope that Dr. Kim and Dr. Peter can help. By the way, you should go and update Verrel about the situation. He really needs you, Nick," Ryan said, leaving me to meet Verrel.
