I wake up and look to my side to see the bed empty. I get up and head to the bathroom to get my day started. It's been a couple of days since Ethan took us out for family day. Melody had an amazing time and so did I, Ethan turned off his phone so there was no interruptions and Every since that day he's been coming home early. My mother and Melody left yesterday for a new adventure so it's just me and Ethan again. Since I woke up alone I'm guessing he's already at the office. I get out of the shower and try off, I lotion up my body then get dress. I towel dry my hair, spray on some of my perfume then head downstairs. As I get closer to the kitchen I can smell the aroma of food, I guess Nadia got here early today. I walk into the kitchen to a scene that I was not expecting.
"What are you doing?" I ask confused.
"I'm cooking breakfast." He says.
"Ethan you're suppose to be at work." I say to him.
"I'm not going in today, I had Amber move all my meetings to tomorrow." He says taking plates out of the cabinet.
"Why?" I ask him curiously.
"I told you, I wanna spend time with you." He says putting the food on the plates.
"Ethan, you need to go to work." I say to him.
"What?" He ask confused.
"You've been coming home early for the past week. I know it was for Melody sake and now she's gone so you can go back to your normal routine." I say to him.
He walks to the table with the plates in his hand, sits them on the table then sits down in a chair and gestures me over. I just look at him and he sighs.
"Can you please come sit down so we can talk?" He ask.
I walk over to the kitchen table and sit down in the chair across from him.
"Me coming home early everyday wasn't just for Melody it was also for us. I've been neglecting you and it took for Lila to yell at me for me to notice just how much. I love you and I never meant to make you feel like I didn't." He says to me.
"I know keeping your father's company is important to you." I say to him.
"You are important to me, you and Melody's are my world." He say to me seriously.
"I don't want you to miss work but I do want you to promise me that you'll make time not just for us as a family but for us as husband and wife also." I say to him seriously.
"I promise." He says kissing my lips.
I kiss him back moving into his lap.
"I love you." He says kissing my lips.
"I love you too."

After Ethan and I had breakfast we decided to have a little desert in the bedroom. After a nap and a hour shower that lead to more dessert we are now in the living room watching a movie with my feet in his lap.
"Why can't we watch something else?" He ask rubbing my feet.
"Cause I want to watch The Notebook." I say to him.
