Jay will always go to Nya's room before he goes to bed to makes sure she's asleep. If she's not then he'll tell her to, and if she doesn't listen he'll stay up with her until she does so she's not lonely. He ends of falling asleep most of the time.
When Nya had a nightmare now, she'll go to the kitchen to warm up some milk for herself. To get there though, she has to pass by Jay's room. He may be a light sleeper but something in his head can just sense when someone important to him is close and something bad is happening. So he'll wake up. The first few times this happened he was confused on why he woke up, but after a few nights Nya accident tripped on her way there so Jay came out. She was already gone by then but he still went to the kitchen and found her there. Ever since then when he wakes up for no reason, he'll check the kitchen to make sure Nya's okay.
Jay and Nya both ship Lava like crazy and will try to set them up on dates together. Jay deals with Cole, and Nya deals with Kai.
Nya got really attached to Edna and Ed when Jay first introduced her to them because her parents left. Edna was always to welcoming and it made Nya feel better. Once Jay realized this, he began to invite her over to their house more.
Jay shows his love through words, physical contact, and gift giving, while Nya shows her love by spending time with him.
Everytime the group watches a romance movie, Kai tries to sit right between Jay and Nya. Cole ends up pulling him away from the two and letting them snuggle up while watching.
