As Damian pours his heart out, before I could say anything someone jiggles on the door trying to open it from the outside.

I step away from Damian and straighten my composure and then the door flings open.

"What is it?" Damian says angrily.

"Sorry Sir, but your appointment is here." Ronald says in almost a whisper, as he looks between Damian and myself.

Damian smooths a hand over his face in frustration before he breathes out. "Let her in."

I quickly make my way out the door when Damian's husky raw voice trails from behind. "This is not over miss Porter."

I pretend I don't hear him and just walk on trying to get to my office and away from all this sexual tension.

I watch as Celine walks down the hallway like a scared little mouse, I'm starting to think she likes the chase. But my thoughts of her gets interrupted when Kali moves in beside me.

"You are getting dangerously close."

"I see you're using the front door? How unexpected of you. "I say as she steps inside and I close the door behind her.

She smooths the table with one hand letting it linger on a stack of files, she looks up cocking her brow. "Father will be pleased to hear you have found the one."

"The one?" I start to laugh. "It's complicated."

"You need to uncomplicate it M'Lord." She watches me carefully. "So, have you told her?"

"What, that I'm the Devil?" I huff out. "It's not that easy Kali."

She only smiles. "If she looks at you the way you look at her then it will be fine."

"Fine?" I ask. "That woman over there helped me remember what it's like to love, to feel love again. To know the fear of losing something you can't live without." I return Kali's dangerous smirk. "I want her to need me, to beg, live and breath just for me." I look away for just a moment before returning Kali's stare. "Like I will for her ..."

"You have two months to prove to hell and father that she is the one."

"Mmmm, I suppose I do need to start somewhere."

"Sir I would suggest you start as soon as possible with the human girl, your time on earth is running out. " Her face hardens with the brutal reality of the dangers we're facing "Other Gods are closing in on your kingdom and I have heard nothing from Maximus."

Suddenly her voice turns soft. "It's bothering me, he will stop at nothing to claim Hell as his own."

My head snaps up to hers with the mention of Maximums. "He must be up to something."

"That's what I'm afraid of."

"Stay close to Celine, keep an eye out when I'm not with her and report back to me if you see or hear anything suspicious."
