Untold Devine (short story)

(Devine- a lovely energetic princess that makes everyone around her smile)

Third person POV

"Did you know just how much i admire those fairytale stories where the princess is in danger and suddenly a strong big handsome knight will appear and save her" Said by Devine to her maid who laughed at her childishness

"don't laugh" Devine said and pouted

"I'm sorry your highness, i just didn't thought that you also have that kind of imagination" her maid continues to tease her and devine just stayed silent and let the maid finish dressing her

"The king is here" a guard announced and opened the door after Devine approved

"what are you doing here father? Did something happened? You do know that I'll be looking for a dress today for my debut tomorrow" Devine said to her father the king, the king let out a sigh and looked at devine in her eyes

"nothing, is it wrong for me to see my daughter?" the king smiled and continued

"I heard that you wanted a personal knight? I have been hearing it" the king said and devine felt quite shy

"did i talk about it that much?" devine looked away and tried to act cool, the king laughed and ordered someone to open the door, Devines eyes was focused on the person coming in with a confused look

"this is Zade the captain of the 3rd sword, the knights who is trained focused solely on protecting each member of the royal family, not bad right?" the king said

Black hair, tall, has a big built body, his face is stiff or more likely to be wearing a cold expression, Devine looks at his dark yet shining eyes and got mesmerized by it

"it seems that i have made the right decision to assign zade as your knight" the king smirk after looking at his daughters expression

Devine stopped starring at his eyes after hearing the kings comment and tried to keep her act right as a princess

The king looked at zade and zade instantly kneeled down

"I.. Zade, comander of the 3rd sword, swearing an oath that i will defend your highness with my life and that no matter where you'll be and no matter what path you'll choose i shall stay by your side and protect you from any harm that will come.... My loyalty belongs to you, and only you. " zade said swearing an oath to the princess

Devine was quite shock but still manages to accept the oath given to her by the knight

"do mind that though he looks like a cold person, zade has a big heart" the kings last message after standing up to leave

"I'll keep in mind father thank you" Devine said while looking at her fathers back slowly walking away

Devine let out a sigh and sat down while the knight just stood there and waited for devine to give him an order

"your wished has come true your highness" the maid said teasing devine

"stop that i know that, i just didn't expect that I'll get one this fast, fathers ears is really everywhere" devine said jokingly and the maid just laughed

Devine stared at the knight and stood up

"we shall go and take a stroll" devine said and the maid prepared a parasol and gave it to the knight

"I'll let you accompany her highness alone today so you'll get to know her highness, goodluck ok?" the maid whispered to the knight and the knight just nodded
