"Hi Iris , it's been a while, sorry if I wasn't able to visit you for quite some time" i stared at her

"I already forgot how your voice sounded isn't it funny?" I'm trying to hold back my tears

I stared at her grave for quite some time and told her stories of how my life has been after her death.

"If I did what you wished for that time would you still be alive today?" I asked her

"I still remember your last questions before you died" my tears was uncontrollably falling from my eyes

"It's too late to regret everything now huh" i said to my self...

THE CRUELTY

Iris POV

"Would you like to show us your talent miss?" My prof asked me

"Iris sir, the name is iris, and yes sir gladly" I answered confidently

I stared at my classmates but there's this boy that really caught my eyes.. the person that was pursuing me.

As i sang i stared at him ,making him feel like the most lucky person in the world that i sang that song dedicated for him.

Everyone clapped and my teacher praised me for my singing skills , some of our close classmates started to tell the teacher whom i sang the song for and i was blushing hard.

"Quiet class" the teacher said while laughing and everyone proceeded to learn

While we were walking alone down the stairs i kissed him , my decision was now full and I'm ready to enter a relationship with him.

"Lance I'm now answering you" i said to him while staring straight in his eyes , he was so happy

"Is this for real iris?" He said while still can't believe

"Yes lance you are now my boyfriend officially" i said and he can't contain his happiness

We were so happy the whole week
Too happy that i forgot the consequences of being too high in the clouds

"Why Lance?, why can't you choose me?, why of all people, why did you prove me wrong once again" i was crying so hard in front of him

"Im so sorry Iris , I can't win with them they want me back to my past or else they won't support my studies" he said

"We haven't even lasted that long yet, we were still writing our story , we were still at the prologue" i said begging

I kept on begging

"Why are you guys so unfair?, why?, I'm a human too, why can't they just agree?, why still yearn for the past that hurt you so much?, why can't they just accept it ?, why am i the one that has to suffer? , you said you'll take care of everything, you said you'll resolve everything just for us, so why?" I asked him

"Sorry" is all he can say

"If ever, would u say to her this lines? 'Are you happy now? You broke my relationship with the person who saved me, who loves me so much, with the person who cares for me, whose always there for me , who needs me?, do you think after breaking us up with the help of my parents i'll come back to you?, no, I won't, I'll still choose her over you , just give up and accept reality, I don't wanna lose her Mia' , would you say that to her? No, you're too afraid, you're not like me , u broke me Lance, and here I thought i could finally be happy, it was all too good to be true" then i got my things and left him there, he was still holding me but i kept going

"Sorry for being the villainess in your story with her , don't worry this will be the last time that you're gonna see me" i said before staring at the lake from the bridge

"Iris stop what you're about to do, please don't do it" he said

He tried to get closer but i stopped him

"If i said choose me so we can stop this nonsense, would u choose me?" I stared at him

"No right?" And he wasn't able to look me in the eye

With no hesitation i jump.. he tried to grab me but he was too late...

I don't regret what i did

All i know is that finally i can rest..

THE REALITY

Lance POV

"Why are you here?" Iris mom's ask

"Im sorry ..."is all i could say

"Sorry?, what can that do? Nothing, so while im still calm you should leave , go back to where they want you to" she said , I wasn't able to say anything because it's all my fault

I should've chosen her, I lost her smile, I lost the person I thought I would be staying with for the rest of my life because of my silly decisions, I should've fought for her longer, I should've stayed with her, asked for help, so i can keep her, I wasn't able to make her the happiest person she deserves.

Regrets were starting to eat my mind...
I wasn't really thinking straight...

I should've told her everything was ok that i got this , that i could still fix it, that she doesn't have to suffer.

I regret not holding her...

I regret everything...

Present
"Hi iris, are you resting well?"

"Sadly this is the last time I'm gonna be able to visit you're grave , I don't know when I'm gonna comeback , but I promise you I'll visit you when I can, okay? Don't worry I'm gonna keep my promises to you this time , until we meet again, okay?" .

Reality is cruel in many ways , it will make you give up your life in all sorts of ways but don't give up, before you regret something, fix it, do what you can,
