Ali POV

I have a very sweet caring boy best friend, he always cares for me even tho we are not in that kind of relationship

I have known Cain since we were on elementary because they used to live near our house, now even though they leave far away Cain always try and make ways just to come in our house

My family didn't mind because they know Cain too

But one night as I was doing my homework, 'ping!' i heard my phone sudden notification I immediately checked it

And their i saw a chat from my boy best friend on messenger I don't really know why he chatted me that's why i just replied

"yeah?"-ali

"I'm just wondering.. If... Uhm.."-cain

"what is it?"-ali

"I have something to tell you Ali" - cain

"I'm outside can you come out for a sec?" - cain

It was suturday and the clouds looks like it's gonna rain that's why I immediately run out of the house and there I saw Cain standing at the front door

He immediately turned off his phone and looked at me

"so...?" I said in a calm voice
"you know we have been best friends for a decade now right?" Cain ask
"yeah of course I know" I said while tryna calm my self because of the things going in my head like 'is he gonna confess his feelings now?', 'does he likes me?', 'I mean I can like him back too because we have been friends for a long time and my parents also know him'

"so there is this girl that I like she is one of my friends, best friends" Cain said and here I was starting to assume. More that it was me
"I don't really know how to start aargh, I have known her for years now or a decade but I don't know how to approach her anymore because I have this feelings for her, so I'm here to ask for help on how to ask a girl out cuz you know you're a girl too" Cain said as I just stood there facing him

all of the thoughts coming in my head got crashed after he said what he wanted to say, but my mine still can't let go of the thought that it might be me just maybe right what if that was me

"yeah sure wanna come in I think it's gonna ba a long talk" I invited him in and he agreed

I immediately prepared drinks for us and some snacks I didn't even bothered asking who is the girl that he was talking about and said things to him that I would really like cuz maybe you know it's me..

Days after that I didn't get any chat from him I saw him on school always having a very big smile on his face but he never approached me until one day I saw Cain and tanya our other friend walking together leaving the school

But what shocked me was they were holding hands, the books I was carrying fell on the floor, they didn't saw me actually no one saw me because the people near me pretended too that they didn't saw me

I immediately get all of the books I fell and rushed home

"argh I really thought it was me" I said loudly and cried, I looked like an idiot wishing that it was me I was devastated that I cried the whole night

I woke up in the morning and my eyes are all swollen

I showered did my daily routine and all then I arrive at school later than usual,
Just how badly I wanted to go home because everywhere I go I see Cain and tanya just lovely dovey...

They lasted for about a month I heard that Cain was the one too that decided to break up with tanya for what ever reason then there Cain decided to chat me again looking for comfort I don't really know what to do because both of them was my best friend

Like even tanya decided to chat me for the same reason they both wanted someone to comfort them

I just said a few words to them and finally after a long night of chatting the both of them when I was about to go to sleep Cain decided to tell me something

"I guess I was really just confuse back then on who I like that's why I dumped tanya after a month, like right after that month I realized it was you who I liked and not tanya so.. Ali.. Can I court you?" Cain chatted

I was so confused and I don't really know what to reply I was happy but at the same time hesitant but at the end I still replied

"why not yeah sure" right after I sent that message I turned off my phone and try to go to sleep

Then the next day Cain always gave me a single flower and always treating me much nicer and caring of course tanya saw that and she hated me because of that

Some girls started to bully and always saying
"You're such a snake ali, you know how much I love Cain I even cried to you, how dare you" tanya said while we are on the back of the school

Then she suddenly grabbed my hair almost ripping all of my hair out, I can't fight her because me my self felt guilty because of that I was just crying and saying sorry

Then all of the sudden she stopped because Cain saw us, he grabbed her hands and pushed her away from me, he immediately hugged me and ask if I was OK or not

"CA-Cain this is not what you think i-" tanya didn't even finished what she's gonna say
"HOW DARE YOU?!" Cain yeld at her that made tanya suddenly fell on the ground
"let's go im gonna treat your wound" then cain pulled me away from there, leaving tanya behind crying with her other friends...

"you know you should stay away from tanya now" Cain said with a sad tone while treating my small wounds and scratches
"you know I can't do that cain she is my"cain cut me off and continued what I was gonna say
"friend?, I'd she is your friend then why would she do this to you?" cain suddenly got mad for me that made me chuckle for a bit and just looked at him almost done treating my wounds
"you should comb your hair it's so long and you look like a witch, maybe you should cut your hair short"Cain said that got stuck on my mind..

The next day since it was weekend I decided to go to a salon with my mom who had plans to go to the salon, I even begged her to allow me to cut my hair, I even tried to blackmail her that I will cut it my own if she won't agree so here we are now in front of the salon my mom always goes to be beautiful

"good morning ma'am" the staff greeted up and we greeted her back, my mom does the talking and I just sat there until the hairdresser cuts my hair up to my shoulder I was satisfied by my new look because it fits me just right, even my mom approves of the new look that's why I was happy

I was so excited for Cain to see my new look and even bought him a watch because on Monday it was our friend anniversary even though I know it sounds wierd now because he is courting me

Then just like that it was Monday I was looking for Cain on the garden of the school as I arrive because he usually stay there for a while before going to our classroom

When I spotted his back a large smile appeared in my face but when I was about to call his name, I saw tanya running towards Cain happily and giving him a small gift and kissed him on the lips.

The smile on my face disappeared and the tears fall on my eyes I didn't know what to do and just decided to run away the watch I was gonna give Cain I threw it away to the trash can and called mom to transfer me to other school the next week

Cain even tried to contact me and go to our house but I asked mom to help me get rid of him and he never came back again

Years have passed now and always when I remember that story only a sour smile appear on my face, I was even invited to their wedding to day that's why some flashback started to appeared

I'm at their wedding venue now aunt Liana greeted me, chain's mother and showed me to my sit..
Their wedding proceeded and after an hour they are now happily wedded to each other

What about me?.. I'm just gonna enjoy life and wait for someone who will not betray me like they did.
