Melo's POV

"I'm telling you bro, she woke up in tears" I said as me and Zo walked around the Walmart

He was supposed to be buying toys for zoey and gifts for Lavelo

I only came to see if there was anything I liked in here for my child

I'm happy for Gelo and everything but I got my own child to worry about

Zo: "damn what if that's some scary foreshadowing shit?" He asked as he looked at different dolls

"We find out the gender at 5 and if it's a boy I'm gonna piss myself"

Zo bust out laughing before throwing some random doll in the cart

Zo: "Is there any chance that you'll fall out of love with her at any point in time?"

"Fuck no" I scoffed

I'm 100% sure that imani isn't gonna fall out of love with me either

She's got two choices in that situation which are..one, I'm gonna be with her..or two, she's gonna be with me

Zo: "then there's nothing to worry about"

"I don't know man, she really scared the fuck out of me last night"

I've seen imani go crazy a couple of times but that was mostly her cursing people out

I've never seen her genuinely scared like that though

Zo: "I think it's just her worrying about the future..I mean she's been around us so long and all she's ever seen was us get into relationships then break up a year or two later"

"So she's worried she's next?"

Zo: "could be. I couldn't imagine being pregnant and having a close friend who just lost her child. I also couldn't imagine thinking there's a time clock on my relationship"

Thinking that imani could even be considering stuff like that made me honestly wanna cry

I don't like the idea of her being scared to lose me or the baby..neither one of us are goin anywhere

Zo: "I don't know what you could even say or do to make it better" he said as he continued to throw a bunch of dolls in the cart for zoey

"I don't know either but I'm not about to sit there and watch her suffer"

Zo: "what's the plan?"

"I don't have one" I sighed as I looked at car seats

Zo: "why'd you want to go in person shopping?"

"So I could see how heavy this shit is, I'm not buying nothing that I don't wanna carry" I said as I picked up a light blue car seat

Zo: "somebody in here is bound to recognize one of us"

"So?"

Zo: "you're buying stuff for a baby"

"Gelo's having a kid" I said in a duh tone

Zo: "oh right"

I looked around the store for another 30 minutes but I didn't see anything I liked so we left after Zo paid for  Zoey's and Lavelo's stuff

I dropped Zo off at his house before heading home to pick up Imani

I smiled as mani got in the car

Imani: "hey, how was shopping with Zo?" She asked before kissing my cheek 

"I didn't find anything that I liked" I shrugged
