"Drip too hard, don't stand too close You gon' fuck around and drown off this wave" I rapped as I drove back home

I had just dropped mani off at her brother's house because he said he wanted to talk to her or something

"Bad lil' vibe, she been on my mind I- seriously?!" I said as my music cut off due to my phone ringing

"Wassup G honcho" I said as I Answered the phone

Gelo: "pops told me to call you and tell you not to forget about the Drew league game. It starts at 4"

"Aw shit" I said as I looked at the time

It was already 3:18

"That shit completely slipped my mind" I groaned

Gelo: "pops will kill you if you don't show up."

"Who's even going?"

Gelo: "all of us; Zo even flew back and picked up zoey"

"Shit. I just dropped mani off at Marcus's house and I don't wanna leave her stranded" I said as turned the car back around

Gelo: "uh okay...."

"I'll call you back" I said before hanging up and calling mani

Imani: "hey babe" she said as she answered

"I'm on my way back to you to drop off my car"

Imani: "what? Why? Are you okay?"

I laughed a little at her small panic

"I'm fine babygirl, I just forgot that I agreed to go to the Drew league game with my family today and I don't want you stranded at your brothers house"

Imani: "melooo, it's okay I can catch an Uber"

"You CAN but you don't have to. I didn't get that far; I'm like 5 minutes away"

Imani: "are you speeding?"

"Noooo" I said as I took my foot off the gas

I just smiled as she laughed

"I'm pulling up; Meet me outside"

Imani: "okay" she said before hanging up

Her and her brother were outside when I parked the car

Marcus: "back already?" He laughed

"I'm just here to drop my car off" I chuckled as I handed mani the keys

Marcus: "don't let her bully you into giving her crazy ass nothing" he joked

I laughed and shook my head as he walked back inside the house

I'm happy her older siblings are chill as fuck cause I'd be mad as hell if I had to argue with them all the time

I texted Gelo the address and told him to come pick me up

Imani: "you better not be calling an Uber"

"Hell nah; I'm making Gelo's ugly ass come get me" I laughed

Me and mani sat outside for at least 10 minutes and Gelo still wasn't here

"I'm about to call his stupid as-"

Before I could even finish my sentence I heard a car horn

Gelo: "Hurry up!" I heard him yell

Imani: "damn y'all riding in a soccer mom van" she laughed

I looked up and seen Gelo in the passenger seat

"Bitch don't rush me!" I yelled back

Imani: "You want me to pick you up from gelo's or lavar's?"

"Pop's house since we're most likely gonna go there afterwards"

Imani: "okay, see you later. love you"

"Love you too" I said as I pecked her lips before jogging to get in the car

As soon as I opened the door I seen zoey

"Oh naw! Y'all got me sitting next to this monster?!" I laughed as I got in

Imani walked in the house before Zo pulled off

This game better be worth my time
