Fast fowards to July 2023. Me and Mierul now are totally best friend. Even though both of us living in othe country, we still contacted each other. He loves to post me in his Instagram and tweeted something about me in Twitter. Oh my goodness. He just so sweet. I really like him but the problem is. Our religion is different. Our faith is different but God is only one. Even if I told my parents about this will they accept him?

I walked into the kitchen to find something to eat. Suddenly i hear my mom calling for me in the living room.

"Maru, come here for a moment!"

"Okay mom!"

I came in the living room seeing my mom sit on the couch.

"Well sit here next to me. I haven't talk to you for a while since me and your dad just got back from overseas. "

"Oh well okay then."

I sat next to her. And she facing towards me.

"So how was your life, Maru?"

"It was great mom! I met so many amazing people and.. someone special too.."

"Ooh, looks like my daughter like someone now? who is it?"

"Well, it's.. Gabbie's friend."

"What his name?" Mom looks very curious about him.

"His name is Mierul Aiman from Malaysia. He's a great guy and a actor mom! He's a Malaysian sweetheart!"

"That's great to hear? Do you like him? If you do, Why don't you confess now?"

I gulped. Mom probably won't like him because he was a muslim. But i don't know either.

"Mom.. He's a muslim."

Silent went through the living room. I looked at my mom expression. She looks kinda worried or something.

"Hanamaru, listened he's a muslim and we're are Buddhist."

"I KNOW MOM! YOU WON'T LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE'S A MUSLIM RIGHT? I DO LOVE HIM SO MUCH."

"H-hanamaru. Listen honey, I never said you couldn't date him but-"

"BUT WHAT?"

"Hanamaru, don't be like this listen to me for a while.."

Tears just swell down on my cheeks. "Mom I love him so much, Just why? Is it because you didn't want me to convert into Islam or you want me to marry someone else? Is it that guy from the Kansai? No mok I don't want! I love Mierul and I want him!"

"Maru, Wait!"

I picked up my things and shoved it into my bags and left the home. Tears started to trailing on my cheeks as I walked into the streets.

"Oh dear.. Just why.. I love him so much.."

Suddenly I got text from Mierul.

hi sunshine, im now at Brighton to meet you. Where are you now? Im waiting for you at Ellie's auntie cafe.
Im waiting for you.

seen 6.30 pm

Mierul? he's here? I wiped my tears and went to the cafe owned by Ellie's auntie.

I opened the door and greeted by Ellie's auntie.

"Oh Hi, nice to see you Hanamaru! What you like to order?"

I saw Mierul waving at me.

"Umm well i ordered later. Someone just asking me to meet him here!" I smiled.

"Well okay then!"

I sat on the chair in front of him.

"Hi sunshine, dah lama tak jumpa right?"

I nodded silently.

"Kenapa ni? Awak nangis ke tadi?"

"No, I didn't cried. Just there's a dust in my eyes. Today is very windy." I wiped my tears off so I don't let him see my ugly crying face.

"Tak, kalau awak ada masalah bagitau je saya. Im you friend right?" Mierul smiled. That smile comfort me for a while.

I took a deep breath to calm myself down. I want to confess to him.

"Mierul, it's been a while since we're friends right. Well, I wanna tell you something."

"What is it?"

"I like you alot." My face turns red and I hide it with both of my hands.

I peeked on his face and looks like he was turning red like a tomato too.

Mierul awkwardly laughed. "Ahaha camana nak bagitau ek. Saya pun.. suka awak" Mierul took both of my hands and look into my eyes.

"R-really? You do?"

"I do"

"Oh wow.. I-i..."

"Do you want to know something, Maru?"

"What is it"

"I been dying to tell you this. But first let me teach you how to count in Malay."

"Huh? All of sudden?"

"Well listen to me! first" I just nodded and look at him "Satu" showing his thumb. "Dua" "Tiga" "Empat" and he's suddenly stopped at the pinky finger.

"Do you want to know what this number?"

"Is it lima?"

"Bukan, bukan lima."

"Then what is it?"

"Saya janji.." He took my pinky finger and cross it. "Saya janji.. saya akan jaga awak sampai bila-bila"

My face turns red for a moment. And I can see he's getting cringe by his own pickup lines.

"That's cute you know!"

"Yes, but I was being serious!"

"I want to take care of you, forever."

He looked at me deep in my eyes. My stomach was fluttering now.

"I-i ummm"

"Okay cun, Jom khawin!"

"H-huh? K-khawin? Marriage!? W-wait no!!"

"Taklah gurau je.."

I let a sigh knowing he just joking about it for a moment.

"But who knows in the future..." Mierul winked at me.

I blushed and looked away from him and i saw Ellie and Jessica at outside from the cafe windows looking shocked.

"Ooooh Hanamaru-chan have a boyfriend now!!"

"Maru! Oh my God!"

"G-guys? What are you doing here?"

"Supporting you from the back. See our streamers friend also here!"

I saw alot of them showing a signs wrote "Hanamaru and Mierul are real!"

"what is this monstrosity ZURAAAAAA"

We're all laughed and everything was going to be just fine. At least for now!
