"Minho, come forward."

"I am sorry, but you won't make it to this team."

"Cut these lines of his."

"Can you please sing better?"

"Try harder. You are lacking."

"WooJin is leaving."

"I am sorry. I have to leave."

"I think Woojin's lines should go to Jisung instead."

"Your voice isn't good for this song."

"Your formation is behind Jeongin... Hyunjin..... Chan.... Changbin...."

"Hyunjin will go on a hiatus."

Hiatus hiatus hiatus hiatus....

Minho woke up in cold sweat, gasping and blinking hard, his mind reeling from all those specific words that had given him reasons to cry in the last few years.

A dull ache was building up in his chest as his eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness around him, blinking blankly when he tried to focus them.

He was in the dorm, laying on his bed. On his side. Facing the other bed of the bunk bed in front of him. The empty bed.

It was pitch dark around him, just the way he and Hyunjin liked to sleep at night.

Hyunjin.....

The name made him want to scream.

He missed the tall boy. He missed him much more than he had ever missed his parents and even his cats. There was this constant pain in his heart, present 24/7, all the time, reminding him of the rapper in every moment, every breath of his. It was driving him nuts. He felt as if he was breaking from within whenever he walked into his room and found the empty lone bed right in front of his.

Each night, he would wake up at some point of time, his body and mind hard-wired to do so because Hyunjin was an enthusiastic late night snack stealer-and an ever more enthusiast of ruining Minho's sleep-and then he would realise the boy isn't there anymore.

Just like tonight.

Except this night, he was jolted awake by nightmares instead of the normal calls he sometimes hallucinated or just getting up on his own.

He had been having them a lot these past few days. His nightmares.

And they were always the same. About his hard past. Those words that had managed to pierce his heart and leave it bleeding. Those specific few words, sentences, that had made him question everything so many times. Those words that had made him weak.

Getting eliminated, being told he isn't talented enough, brought back but still treated poorly, getting taunted and insulted, losing that one member, still being mistreated, always the least liked, always the most hated for his personality, never being appreciated, and then loosing Hyunjin.

Those few moments kept coming back to him. Kept coming back to haunt his mind and conscience. Kept coming back to hurt him.

He was strong, he knew that. But does being strong means he isn't affected by anything?

Because if it does, then maybe he isn't that strong.

Because it hurt a lot.

Waking up with tears burning his eyes, a heavy heart, and that longing to just see his dongsaeng again.
