DINAH'S POV

Y/N and I were lounging around my apartment while watching TV when there was a knock at my door. Am I expecting someone? I kissed her temple before getting up to look out the peep hole.

Low and behold. My worst nightmare is beginning.

My family was standing outside. Well, my Mom, Lani, Regina, and Masi. Just the small half of the huge group.

I looked back to see Y/N in my old sweatshirt with no pants.

Another knock sprung from the other side of the door.

I walked over to Y/n and picked her up, "The hell are you doing?" I dropped her on my bed and threw some sweats at her.

"Put these on. My family is here." I said in a distressed tone.

Her eyes widened, "Fuck."

I nodded, "Theres a little bit more you gotta know, babe. My family doesn't know I'm gay. They can't know. If they find out, they'll freak and cut me out of my family for good. You gotta pretend to just be my friend. Okay?"

She frowned and responded softly, "Yeah. Just go answer the door. I'll be out in a second."

I kissed her cheek and ran back to unlock the dead bolt and open the door.

"I thought you'd never open that door." Mom groaned giving me a hug and kiss on the cheek. I said my hellos to the rest of the group.

Y/N walked out of the hallways with a smile and leaned on the doorway except she was in a nice crop top and skirt. Nothing she was in a few minutes ago. Her hair was waved beautifully. God damn. I almost drooled but I had to get my attention away from her.

"Hello there. You must be Dinah's family. I'm Y/N, her friend from the Universtiy. Are you her sister or?" She extended her hand to my Mom and I laughed.

My mom gave me a glare then pulled Y/N into a hug, "Nice to meet one of Dinah's friends. But no I'm her mother, Milika."

"Nice to meet you." Y/N responded friendly.

I pointed to the rest of the Hansen Clan. "This is Lani, my aunt. Regina, my little sister, one of many. And this tall ugly kid is my cousin, Masi."

Masi smirked, "I ain't ugly. Actually, I'm pretty damn fly."

"Hush up, fool." Lani laughed, "You ain't shit."

"What are y'all doing here?" I asked nervously trying to keep my aggravation of breaking up my week with Y/n.

"Wow, we love you too, Mama." Lani laughed, "But we thought we'd have food together here for the night since you haven't been answering our calls."

"My phone's been charging in my room." I told them.

Y/N cleared her throat, "Well, I don't wanna impose on you all. I was actually just about to leave."

"No she wasn't." I said causing her to stop and look at me with big eyes.

"Yeah, stay." Mom said to her.

Y/N smiled, "I guess I could stay for food."

"Good." Mom replied, "Cause we ordered pizza and this is the best in the Bay Area."

"You called for Sizzling Slices to to be delivered to my house? Hm, you better have money, Ma." I laughed.

She pursed her lips, "You know me better than that. They'll never be able to make it here in 30 minutes or less so we'll get all of it free."

I gave her a high five, "That's my Mama."

--

We sat around my living room stuffing our faces with the free pizza that was delivered to my house.

I was actually having a really good time except for when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye.

Masi was staring Y/N down as he sat by her. Undressing her with each bite of the pizza she took. He bit his lip and I almost flipped out on him even though Y/N wasn't batting an eye to that Poly.

I cleared my throat which made him turn to me and smirk.

He waved me off and looked back at Y/N, "So, um, do you still go to college?"

I answered for her, "She was two years behind me during my last year."

"So you're gonna be a teacher?" Mom asked.

Y/N cleared her throat, "Actually, I'm just getting my um, pre-recs in before figuring out where to go next." Her lie was actually believable.

"She likes to write." I smiled making her eye me down.

"That's cute." Masi told her. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

"Oh god, Masi." Lani face palmed herself.

"What I'm just asking?" Masi turned his SnapBack backwards.

Y/N looked at me with a smile and I nodded her off to say whatever to keep 'us' out of her mouth, "Um, not really."

"You hesitated." Masi pointed out.

"It's complicated at this point."

"Booty call?" Masi asked and I slapped him on the back of his head, "Ow. You're mean."

My girlfriend looked at the time and frowned, "Its been lovely chilling with you guys but I think I should go home so you can have some family time."

I had to think up something fast because I really wanted her to stay. The thought of her being in that house with no protection scares the shit outta me. "But you said you were spending the night because your house was being 'fumigated'."

She got the hint and smiled, "I have other places to go. I actually left my book to study at a um, friend's house. So, I'll probably just stay there."

Y/N went to my room and grabbed her packed bag. "It's been great meeting you all. Maybe we'll see each other again soon." She walked over to give me a hug and whispered into my ear, "Text me, sexy."

She swayed her lips as she exited the building. Masi got up and smirked, "Imma go work my Hansen magic on her."

My blood almost started to boil but I had no reason to tell him to stop unless I wanted to be found out by my family.

Masi left and closed the door. And I laid back on my couch angrily.

Mom brushed my hair over my forehead, "Mama," She cooed me, "Go tell your friend to come back. If she needed a place to stay, I'm glad you offered."

"Okay." I responded getting up. I opened the door to see Masi leaning Y/n up against the side of her car.

All I could see was red.
