Laur: where are you?

Y/N: why?

Laur: WHERE ARE YOU?

Y/N: WHY?

Laur: is he with you?

Y/N: u sound just as paranoid as him

Laur: I'm not him. quit it. I just don't like the fact that you're never home. it's never been like this. I don't even know the girl that you're with. I feel like we're drifting apart

Y/N: so Lauren really has feelings

Laur: stop lmao I'm serious

Y/N: lo, I wanna tell you. believe me. I do. but it's big and v bad

Laur: I'm your best friend. I can handle it.

Y/N: no trust me. I would be all about it if I got the say so from her. but I really like her and I don't wanna fuck this up.

Laur: is she hurting you?

Y/N: not at all. I just don't want to get her into trouble

Laur: you act like she's an FBI agent lol

Y/N: close enough lol just please lay off until I can prove to her that you won't say shit. please

Laur: fine. but if she hurts you, I will fuck her up just like I did Zane. I don't give a fuck who she is. you're my best friend and I know you'd do the same for me.

Y/N: I would, Lo. I gotta go but I'll text you when I'm home. okay?

Laur: and I'll bring some ice cream :)

"Who ya texting?" Dinah asked walking into the room with a bowl of popcorn.

"Lauren. She was wondering where I am."

Dinah put a piece of popcorn in her mouth and crunched down, "And what did you tell her?"

"Nothing."

"Isn't that a little suspicious?" She asked, averting her eyes from the screen to look at me.

I shook my head, "No. At least she knows I'm alright."

"Can I see your phone?"

I scoffed, "No."

"I just wanna see it."

"Why?"

She crossed her arms, "I guess you got something to hide."

"I don't." I retorted. "But I don't just look through your phone."

She held out her hand, "May I please see your phone?"

I gripped my device, "Only if you'll let me see yours."

"It's in the room somewhere. I'll find it later." She responded roughly.

I rolled my eyes and put my phone in her hands, knowing that I have nothing to hide.

Her finger flicked on my screen, scrolling through Lauren's and my texts.

"You're not going to get my say so." She instructed me. "Let's get that straight. If this is going to work you have to get that thought out
of your head."

I grabbed my phone back, "Good to know."

Dinah gripped my thigh to turn me towards her and look her in the eyes, "Look, I'm saying this because I love you and I want to stay with you."
