One Fateful Phone Call - One Direction

Chapter 6

VICTORIA'S POV

I got into Niall's car wearing a pair of jeans and my tan leather jacket. Underneath that was a light pink long sleeve and a white circle scarf. My blonde hair was left down and natural, much to my liking. On my feet were a pair of heeled brown booties

"You look gorgeous." Niall told me as I sat down in the passengers seat of his car. I blushed and thanked him. The drive to the mall was filled with me fangirling when Little Things came on, and both of us laughing at the most random things.

When we arrived at our destination, Niall got out first and opened my door for me. I thanked him graciously and we went in the mall. I have two words to describe this shopping centre, bloody brilliant! I think the British slang is rubbing off on me.

An hour and 15 minutes later Niall had multiple shopping bags on his arms and I wasn't anywhere near finished. I kind of felt bad for sticking him with the bags but hey, he offered. We were walking out of Forever 21 when I spotted Victoria's Secret across from it. I squealed and told Niall we just had to go in.

"Come on Niall, please? I promise I will only be a few minutes." I begged pulling on his hand.

"That's what you said at the last thirteen different stores." he groaned.

"But this time it's true! I swear!" he reluctantly gave in but said he would wait outside and gave me his credit card.

I waltzed inside and picked out a few pairs of a underwear along with a few bras. I quickly paid for them and I left to rejoin Niall outside.

Ten minutes later I found myself in the change room at Eclipse. Niall didn't mind coming in this store because I said I was going to try on some dresses. I picked out 3 and they were gorgeous, way too good for me, but hey, a girl can dream.

I walked out of the dressing room with my first pick on. It was strapless and it went to about mid-thigh. The top was light pink silk with black lace over top, the bottom was a plain black material and separating the two was a strip of black ribbon. When Niall saw me his jaw dropped.

NIALL'S POV

"So how do I look?" Victoria asked me as she twirled around in the dress she had put on. I was speechless, she looked absolutely stunning.

"Um, uh, wow." I said not able to produce any other words. Her smile instantly dropped.

"You don't like it do you." she looked down fiddling with the hem of the dress.

"No Vic, I love it. I just didn't say anything because when you came out, I was speechless at how beautiful you looked." I got up, wrapped my arms around her in a hug and kissed the top of her head. She looked up at me with a small smile forming on her face. Oh man, you don't know how much I want to kiss her right now. But I stopped myself and pulled away saying,

"I don't think you need to try on any more dresses, this one is perfect for you." she smiled even bigger, blushed, and went to go change.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" said a voice from behind me. I knew who it was instantly by her nasally voice. It was my ex from about 4 years ago. I turned around slowly.

"What do you want Rebecca?" I asked her coldly.

"Ooh, feisty now are we?" I rolled my eyes. Seriously, we dated when we were 16, what could she want now? She has been bugging me since I broke up with her and I'm clueless as to why.

"Well, I was just wondering who you were here with, since obviously you don't wear dresses." and as if on cue, Victoria walked out.

"Okay Niall, are you rea- um, who's this?" she asked me, I could see the jealousy in her eyes. Aw, that's cute. Focus Niall, get Victoria away from Rebecca.
