"I am going to be living next to Frank for a whole month. How can you not expect me not to be freaking out." Luna asked Susie who was on the phone with her as she packed her bags to go onto the field trip. Which she is surprised her father was actually letting her go. Even pitching in and giving her money. She had Susie on speaker as she walked back and forth between her dresser and closet to her bed shoving her clothes and other much needed items into her two bags. "I'm sure you'll be fine...I mean. You and Frank have been getting along pretty well huh?" Susie responded with a soft giggle.
"Yeah..when Julie isn't around." Luna huffed in annoyance. "That is true...but maybe she won't be too bad." Susie responded, her voice sounding distant as if she were lost in her thoughts. "Highly doubtful she'll probably be a thorn in our sides." She sighed heavily sitting on the edge of her bed for a moment. Reaching under her bed to grab a pair of sneakers, her pair of slides she can wear when she goes to the beach and a pair of slippers, putting them into a plastic bag before putting them into her second bag.
"Anyway, are you already at the school or not yet?" Luna asked as she reached over to grab her phone off her night stand taking it off the charger. Unplugging it she quickly slipped it into the front pocket of her backpack. "I'm on my way to school now. I'll save a spot for you. Unless Frank steals ya." Susie giggled, a smirk playing on her face causing Luna to roll her eyes, shaking her head slightly. "Uh huh...maybe we'll see. But I'll see you there." She spoke and Susie hummed in response.
Luna hung up the phone, finishing grabbing what she needed and what she was taking. Finally getting done a few moments later her phone buzzed. She pulled her phone out of her back pocket to see who had texting her. She had expected it to be Julie, or Susie or even her dad. But she was slightly surprised to see that it was Frank. And the message he sent left her even more confused.
Mi Rey: Want me to pick you up?
Luna tilted her head slightly as she read the messages, she quickly typed a response and sent it.
L: You have a car?
She put her phone back in her pocket, grabbing the shoes she was going to wear slipping into her combat boots she tied them tightly and stood up after dhe was done. As she was in the process of pulling her hair into a high ponytail her phone buzzed once again.
Mi Rey: Yeah, I just don't drive it to school. Is that a yes?
L: Yeah, sure. I bet you drive something old right?
Mi Rey: ;)
Luna snorted at that but wondered what exactly he could be driving in as she sighed and stood up and grabbed her bags, glancing at her reflection in the mirror one last time before she left out the door.
She said goodbye to her dad and opened the front door, eyes wide at the sight of a black mustang waiting by the curb, the windows fairly dark so she couldn't see inside.
She approached the car and bit her lip when Frank stepped out, yawning as he came to open the passenger door for her.
"Where have you been hiding this?" she remarked, motioning to the sleek vehicle and Frank chuckled. "My driveway? I don't drive it around town knowing there are some people who wouldn't mind fucking me up for it. But I didn't want to ride on the bus." he responded, waiting till she got comfortable inside to close the door.
Luna relaxed into the warm leather seats, glancing around the car and noticing that Frank kept his car very clean. It was obvious not many people rode in it besides him.
"It's a nice car though." she complimented when he got back inside, closing his door and starting his car once again.
Frank smiled at that.
