And so 2 weeks have passed of preparations. Diana had to sadly, and happily, say goodbye to many people as she made sure to pack some medical herbs for the journey. It will take months to arrive and she had to be ready. Of course, John has been helpful through it all.

The man would accompany her to give the people their share of the medicine before putting some away for the journey. Diana has been told that she will be the only girl on the ship and made sure to grab a knife. Spending months at sea would drive people insane but she had it all prepared.

Diana stood in line as a few men went to sign a waiver. They die, they shall not blame the king. London's rule. Diana stood next as she could hear some murmurs but ignored them all, standing in line.

"Next!" a man with upper-classmen clothes shouted as Diana stood in front of him. The man looked up, seeing the young woman take the quill and about to sign the waiver but he snatched it from her hand.

"Are you the nurse?" he raised a brow as her eye twitched.

"Yes, that is me," she nodded. The man hummed, looking at the girl up and down and taking a document under his desk and handing it to her. Her eyes widened as the waiver for this one was much larger with three pages.

"This is a precaution, madam," the man nodded as Diana frowned at the document. Sighing, she bent down and signed the waiver, slamming it down at his desk and giving him a glare.

"Have a nice trip–" Diana ignored the man, walking off. Her eyes caught a certain blonde and followed him. As she walked towards him, she couldn't help but feel envy to see several men bidding goodbye to their loved ones, giving them empty promises.

Diana couldn't help but sadly smile. Is this how John felt when he went on his adventures when she would bid him goodbye? She cleared her throat and went to follow John. She looked up at the three large ships that will be traveling. Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery.

"Ready to hoist the cannon?" someone announced, getting her attention. There were two burly men already on board and busy.

Seeing as she didn't want to be late, she immediately rushed to John. She yelped however as the man grabbed her hand and pulled her up on top of a cannon as the men on board started pulling them up.

"Hey, look. Is that Smith?"

"That's him all right. The old sea dog."

"Captain John Smith? I've heard amazing stories about him."

"Are you coming on this voyage too?" a red-bearded man shook his head in amusement.

"Course he is, you half-wit! You can't fight Natives without John Smith!" a dark-haired man scoffed and grinned with his faint stubble on his chin.

Diana held onto her friend tightly as they were lifted high to the ship. John chuckled, amused as he could hear some men talking about him. "That's right. I'm not about to let you boys have all the fun."
