Diana rushed back to her camp, making sure to grab a few recognizable herbs on her way. Her heart raced at what happened earlier. Her hands couldn't stop shaking, and her smile kept giving her laughs making her jump.
Diana wasn't sure what she was doing. She was supposed to be terrified of the natives. They were rumored to be savage and unpredictable. They were dangerous. She has been told this for so long. Yet why did he...
Glimpses of the man's soft eyes looking into her at the waterfall flooded her mind making her stop in her tracks. Sure, he looked intimidating with the bow and arrows in his hand. But he...didn't look dangerous to him at all.
Diana walked back to camp, her eyes widening to see so many trees destroyed and all the green was long gone. She gasped softly, never thinking how fast the men were quick to destroy everything.
"Diana!" Diana snapped out of it, turning just as John grabbed her arms and checked her over. "Where have you been? I told you to stay here," he sterned but Diana's eyes beamed, excited to tell who she saw.
"John, you won't believe what I saw," Diana grinned as John grabbed her wrist and dragged her to the others. Before she could even say, she stopped to see two men groaning in pain in front of her.
She rushed over to them, seeing some burn marks on their faces. Now that she thinks about it, she could vaguely smell the smoke in the air. Just what did they do? She immediately started tending to their wounds.
Just seeing the men already exhausted from starting to dig, sawing, and exploding everything around them, she knows that if she even mentions who she saw, they will be on edge.
And so...Diana stayed silent.

The next day came. Diana was far gone before the men woke. She wasn't sure why she is going. Something in her kept pulling her to go. Just as the sun rose, she stopped by a large tree next to the river. The same spot as the day before. Diana's eyes widened, hiding behind the tree to see the same man already there.
Diana quietly observed the man from where she stood. His dark hair was long and smooth that all the women back home would envy. Looking down at her blonde hair, she deemed it boring and dull compared to his. Not only that, she took notice of faint paintings over his muscular body.
Diana doesn't think she's ever seen any man so defined. Diana's eyes widened, hiding back and shaking her head.
Biting her lip, she turned her head to look out again but stopped as she didn't find him anywhere. She frowned, stepping out and looking around. He was gone.
Diana sighed, facepalming. She couldn't even talk to him. Diana pettily nodded, "Of course. You're such an idiot." She cursed herself, scratching her neck.
