"Jeongin where's Seungmin?" the younger man tensed in his seat on their bed, fox-like eyes widening before fear flashed through them, Minho put hell behind his glare, waiting for his husband to answer him. "With Hyunjin?" the brunet smiled, trying, and failing to erase the guilt and fear from his expression.

Minho leaned against the frame of their door, crossing his arms over his chest, "and where do tell are our children then?"

It wasn't that late still, barely seven, but they were supposed to have school the next day and it was Jeongin's turn to direct bath time. Which he had kind of forgotten, which was evident for Minho as he glared his husband down. Jeongin swallowed, breathing in deeply going over every detail of his afternoon with his children before he remembered. Face lighting up, he smiled "the tree house."

Minho raised his eyebrows, still staring down at his husband. "The tree house?" Jeongin nodded.

The tree house was a small thing both of them had built even before either of their kids were old enough to climb the stairs to it, a small one-room space with big windows their kids loved to use in summer more than anything.

"Dinner is going to be ready in twenty minutes, and I want my kids inside the house and at least with clean faces and hands Yang Jeongin," Minho commanded, making the younger nod fervently. They were always his kids when Jeongin forgot them. Which the other wasn't going to point out because he had a sense of survival even if Felix said he didn't.

Minho disappeared down the hall making Jeongin slump on the bed again "Now, Yang Jeongin!"

Jeongin sat up immediately going down the stairs and to their backyard where the tree house was alive with the fairy lights Hyunjin had chosen. He went up the small stairs head going through the entrance to see both his kids dozing off slumped on the cushion corner of the room. It made his heart swell with affection, Seungmin's smaller form guarded by Hyunjin's slightly longer limbs, as f the older was trying to protect his baby brother even in their sleep.

He took a quick picture before waking them up. "Hyunie, Minnie, wake up, dinner is almost ready loves." Crawling through the entrance was everything but pleasant, but both his boys were heavy sleepers, something he didn't know they took that from because Minho and he would wake up at the slightest disturbance.

"Baby come on, up now." Hyunjin opened his small eyes bleary, blinking sluggishly at his father before making grabby hands for him, Jeongin shook his head, "come on Hyunie, dinner is ready, and you know daddy doesn't like when we're late." Punctuality was a big thing for Minho, something they tried to teach their kids so they wouldn't end up half an hour late to most things like Jeongin tended to do.

"Daddy," Seungmin mumbled, sweet voice bordering over a whine, "yeah baby, come on, daddy is inside and making yummy dinner for us."

Getting both boys outside wasn't much of a problem, the house wasn't very far from the ground and he could lower them both separately, the seven and six year old still a bit drowsy walking inside their home before waking up completely at the smell of a home-cooked meal by their father.

He watched them as they washed their hands, directing them to the living room to help set the table, "Barely on time." Minho mumbled, stirring whatever he had cooked in the pot, Jeongin smiled, "still not late." He answered stealing a kiss from his husband and loving how his ears turned beet red at the show of affection.

Later they're picking the kids up from the couch, after begging to see more tv they fell asleep not even an hour later, normally Minho wouldn't be a fan of letting the watch too much tv before bed, but they were bathed and with teeth brushed, clad in pyjamas, and Seungmin had pulled his puppy eyes, the ones the older swore he learned from Jeongin himself.

Jeongin huffed slightly picking his youngest up, Minho gave him a teasing smile, tinged with a little too much emotion to have his desired effect, "they're getting big, aren't they?" he asked, a sleeping Hyunjin in his arms. Jeongin felt a bit of a knot in his throat as well, looking down at his sleeping puppy. "Yeah, too fast," he murmured back. They brought their kids to their room, the house had another room available, but they had chosen to keep them in the same room for their first years.

So they learned to share, Minho said, Jeongin didn't find anything wrong with that, and with how starved of cuddles Hyunjin acted normally, letting them share a room for now that they were small wasn't such a bad thing.

Minho pulled the covers up to his eldest chin, his puppy plushie secured under his tiny arm, he would never get tired of watching his kids sleep.

When they decided to have children, Minho had told him they would need to have more than one. Being an only child had its perks, but having a little brother was always more fun, Minho knew he always wanted one when the holidays rolled around, and he was alone in the family gatherings. It was fine by Jeongin, who had two brothers himself and knew how it was to have people close to him like that.

Now, years later, their kids were growing up too fast, he could see the yearning in his husband's eyes, the same he had when Hyunjin was born. One just wasn't enough and Jeongin had the inkling suspicion maybe two weren't either. A new baby wouldn't be so bad, in fact, he was sure Seungmin would be happy to be an older brother himself, Hyunjin being an extraordinary example.

"they're just so cute," Jeongin whispered in Minho's ear, watching their little chests rise and fall slowly. Minho nodded, in one of his not-so-rare shows of vulnerability. Another thing Minho worked to teach his kids, he might be a tsundere, but he wanted his kids to express themselves freely not feeling like they needed to be tough or anything like that, having feelings was okay, being vulnerable was okay and he wanted his children to trust them enough to always show them how they felt.

Jeongin turned to his husband, a small smile on his lips, Minho narrowed his eyes, all bite gone "don't give me that look Jeongin." He threatened, walking towards their bedroom Jeongin closed the door of their kids' room, "what look?" Minho was getting undressed, changing into his own set of pyjamas "you know what look, I'm not falling for those eyes again." Jeongin guffawed "again? You were the one that wanted to have Seungmin as soon as possible after Hyunjin."

Minho shrugged completely out of guilt, "you weren't complaining." It was his turn to roll his eyes at his own husband's antics, going to change into pyjamas as well, or at least to throw a sleeping shirt on and stay in underwear. "of course, I wouldn't, who would complain when your very hot husband asks you to make another baby with him?" Minho's ears burned with how red they were, the older not sparing him a glance.

"You know I wouldn't oppose," Minho whispered into the darkness an hour later when they finally fell into the complete silence of the night, it was soft and so low Jeongin almost missed it. But he understood what Minho meant in a heartbeat, pulling the older closer he hummed, leaving a slow kiss on his husband's neck. "Good, I wouldn't oppose either."
