Author's POV:
Clearing the tenth level of the Tower of Trials. The now renowned, Walkers, have been cleared to enter the first Trial of the Tower. Making a plan and splitting up into three groups, Obei and Sehei, Rehishi and Uri, and Mineta and Sakuto with Walkers following them spread out to search the area they entered. While searching, Mineta and Sakuto ended up meeting an unexpected encounter with a Sand Demon who created a dust storm to trap and try to kill them. In the end Mineta was able to free them and continue forth on they're path to the location they were heading to. As they were able to find what they were looking for. They were met with the monsters who were guarding the legendary treasure as it appeared to be a Sand Demon Triad.
Triad: The Trial of Sloth awaits you...
Sehei POV:
We've been walking in this dome of endless sand for hours. After splitting up from the group me and Obei continued to walk amongst this Red Sea of sand as we were following the location on the map given to us by Sakuto.
Sehei: "Who could've been a little more specific on how to follow these directions!"
Obei: Sehei. Where does the map say we are now?
He asks me.
Sehei: I don't know.
Obei: You don't know.
He says stopping as he looked at me with a bewildered look.
Obei: What do you mean you don't know. Haven't you been following the directions?
Sehei: I haven't because I don't know how to read this damn thing! It's complicated!
Obei: Complicated? It's just a map. A map made by Sakuto that highlights the trail in which we have to follow.
Sehei: Highlight?! This piece of paper doesn't highlight! It just flaps and fan in the air while I'm trying to hold it!
I say as I feel him snatch the map out of my hand as he checked it himself. Looking at I could tell he was trying to see something that I couldn't, but even I know there isn't nothing to find on the map.
Obei: I see what the problem is. You didn't even activate the map.
Sehei: Activate it?
Activate it? What kind of map needs to be activated?
Obei: See, watch this. 'Map, destination.'
He says as I watch the map creates a golden line from where we stood to the point of destination.
Sehei: Wait a minute. So, all this time I just had to say a stupid phrase to get the map to lead us to the place?
Obei: Heh, and it looks like we weren't too far away from it. I'll lead us there.
He says taking ahold of the map as he followed the directions as everyone else followed after him.
Sehei: Yeah, I didn't want to hold the stupid map anyway.
*Swoosh*
Moving my cape over my shoulders I followed after them. After a while of walking, we are going up a large sand hill. With each step it was like walking on wet cement as it slowly began to harden around my feet. But that wasn't the only thing.
Small amounts of my energy were being drained with each step going up this hill. It felt like the sand was draining me away at my soul as I could feel myself slowly slip away. Quickly I used my skill to freeze the soles of my feet.
Sehei: "There's something draining the energy out of me within the sand. And I bet it's affecting everyone else to."
Looking up I seen that multiple of the other Walkers were starting to slow down as well. There really is something inside of the sand and it's affecting everyone.
