"Letta!" alliandra yelled chasing after her sister. her twin sister. "please slow down, you have always been faster than me!"

"And you are far prettier dear sister, it seems like a fair deal!" Nicoletta giggled running through the gates of Winterfell and into the Godswood, their ancestorial home and religious site.

"I do not see how beauty and speed relate in any way" Alli panted, finally coming to a stop seeing Nicoletta place her hand atop the roots of the weirwood tree.

"I win" she mused, "dear sister, how are you ever going to become a fierce warrior if you cannot run or move fast? the men are slow, so we must prove we are fast to be better"

"We are a mere age of nine, I do not believe we are to become fierce warriors just yet." alliandra giggled but Nicoletta scoffed.

"where is your honor?" Nicoletta asked jokingly

"Sometimes we mistake honor for stupidity" Alliandra replied swiftly.

"On other matters" Nicoletta ignored her sister's wisdom "Brother Cregan, began his training at the age of six, so we must start just as early." she brushed her hands off "Meaning... meet you in the dining hall!"

"NICOLETTA STARK!" Alliandra screamed out watching her sister sprint back the way they had just come, but nothing could ever make the pair dislike each other. So Alli followed right after.

"Dearest" Brandon Stark sighed, he was the father of the two twins "if I hear one more complaint from the stable boy that you have either knocked over a cart full of hay or a line of swords due to your horrendous lack of coordination, I shall lock you in your room for a week."

"oh Father" Nicoletta smiled "you would miss me far too much for that, I believe you would have to sell me off to Dorne to ever properly rid yourself from my lack of coordination."

"ah, but I will not be selling you off, ever!" Brandon laughed pulling his daughter up into a hug and spinning her about.

"so you will not force me to marry some hairy old man the moment I have bled?" Nicoletta smiled shyly "I heard that's what the Mormont's have done to their daughter Melinda"

"you listen here" Brandon spoke sternly and kissed her cheek "When you are old enough, I will make you a match with someone who is worthy of you. My daughter, My Princess, will not be shipped off to suffer and be tormented. You are just as important as any of these high lords, so you will get the best of the best, never forget that"

"I want to marry a magical prince who can make chocolate appear from his hands and lets me fight in battles with him!" she giggled

"I believe that to be a very worthy match, my dearest." he held her tightly "and you will become whatever you dream yourself to be."

"I want to be a warrior, father, I want to fight like brother Cregan." she whispered "I want to be the one that protects the ones I love. Like you."

"and you will be" he whispered back with tear-filled eyes.

"Father" Alliandra asked, "why are we traveling so far?"

"he's going to sacrifice us to the white walkers of course" Cregan, the brother of the twins and son of Brandon teased. he was three years older than the girls already being sixteen.

"Father!" the girls squeaked, they had recently turned thirteen and on that day their father had put all three of the children into a carriage and set off.
