Song for this chapter: Rosyln - St. Vincent & Bon Iver

Cregan Stark never got nervous, except for right now.

He walked through the castle and found himself outside the door of the Princess Rhaeneyra, he had almost knocked many times but hadn't.

The guards started to think he might be a little crazy.

Cregan didn't know if he should listen to his sister's wishes or go with what his gut told him, his sister would hate him if he went with his gut but she would be happy, eventually.

But Cregan never broke his promises, so he had to go with her wishes. And that was to be betrothed to the Lucerys Velaryon.

Cregan knocked, and waited.

But he wasn't waiting for long, the door opened and revealed the princess herself, she smiled upon seeing him and welcomed him inside.

Cregan sighed when he walked in, he knew the words he was about to say would hurt him more than he thought originally but, he would marry his sister to whom ever she wished.

"Princess Rhaeneyra" he smiled, though it was an obvious fake

"Your Grace" She nodded closing the door and offering Cregan a seat.

They sat.

"What has brought you here this evening?" She asked

"My sisters betrothal, My Princess" he frowned "and who she has wished to be betrothed to"

Rhaeneyra smiled happily, Jacaerys would be getting his wish, he may have not said it plainly but I was obvious he wished fo marry her as soon as he laid eyes on her.

She tried to contain herself from giggling with excitement, the princess was a lovely girl and would be an excellent match.

"Who has she requested?" She asked happily.

"Your son," he paused, staggering in a breath "Lucerys Velaryon"

Rhaeneyras Smile dropped as she stared at the king, She did not expect to hear that Lucerys was the one she wished to marry.

Yes she believed her son to be a kind and worthy man, but after the spectacle tonight with Jacaerys, she would have never believed that she would choose anyone but him.

"Lucerys?" It came out so quickly rhaeneyra couldn't even hide her shock "are you certain?"

Cregan nodded solemnly "yes, she has asked to marry Lucerys Velaryon, and now I ask you if you approve of the match"

Rhaeneyra knew how much this information would hurt her son, she knew how badly Jacaerys would take the news but she also knew he wouldn't ever express these emotions.

They would eat him alive, but she was determined to help him if it got to that. And Lucerys would be thrilled by the match, and it would be one of the best he would get.

So she couldn't refuse.

"Yes i approve" rhaeneyra announced after some time, "but we shall need to talk about the succession"

"Yes we will" Cregan nodded, this would be fun.

Everyone who has traveled so far to winterfell has stayed for a week, though they never saw me.

I had disappeared from the halls, social events, and even my training.

I confined myself to my chambers with only the company of Nymeria, but now came the time where I couldn't hide.

Cregan had made an event to announce my engagement to Lucerys Velaryon, after the night of the banquet where Cregan made it obvious i was to be married many had been waiting for this moment.
