Song: home - Dotan

When I stepped off the boat at Dragonstone after three long weeks of travel i never thought i'd be so happy to be in a new place.

The island had three main sections to it. One with the castle -which looked absolutely amazing by the way- the second held the grassland of the island, where crops could be grown and Nymeria could run throughout, The third though, was simply badass.

The volcano, I'd come to learn was the dragonmount or where the dragons nested and laid their eggs. whatever they called it, it was cool, and genuinely one of the most amazing sights I had ever seen.

my smile appeared unknowingly as I stood on the docks. It was a comforting calm compared to the past few weeks where Jacaerys and I had tiptoed around each other with an undeniable longing to talk to the other.

but neither of us could bring ourselves to do it.

I'd lay awake at night thinking about him, what I'd say to him, when I'd talk to him again. His state wasn't much better, though we weren't on speaking terms I just knew. the state of his clothing and the state of his hair and eyes were clear tells alone.

he was stressed, and lonely.

He hasn't just not talked to me, he has left luke in the dark. Which i didnt appreciate. They were brothers, it was due time Jacaerys started acting like it because i refused to see lukes sad eyes one more time after jacaerys had given him the cold shoulder.

"this placed scared me as a kid," luke admitted, "now it just feels comforting... despite the giant volcano with many dragons and their eggs."

"yes i feel that might not be a comforting thought as a child, but your a man- well- maybe..." i giggled at his 'annoyed' look, we had become friends, good friends.

"my betrothed," he mused, holding out his arm to help me down off the ships dock and onto the offical docks, "may i escort you to your chambers? my mother has told us where they are."

he puffed out his chest playfully and put on his most formal southern accent he could muster. i couldn't help myself from bending over laughing, and how could i refuse?

"why ofcourse my betrothed, it would be such the honor!" i boasted taking his arm while we quite literally ran down the docks while Rhaeneyra and daemon called out after us, not seriously though.

"so this is your room!" luke and rhaeneyra smiled, jacaerys had left to his room locking himself away with his books and nymeria had gone to explore.

daemon stayed with the children.

i had to keep myself from being giddy. the room was nothing like the one i had at winterfell, this one had two large windows at the back, a plush rug covering the floor with a large wood posted bed lining one wall and opposite of it was a wooden desk.

on top of that desk laid many books wrapped in ribbon i had assumed were placed here in advance by raven after the announcement of the engagement.

on the bed were many dresses, in shades of blues, whites, and greys (my house colors,) and alongside them were some others in shades of red, black, and a few shades of teal. (targaryen and velaryon,).

"woah," i mumbled, "is this all for me?" I asked as my hands ran gently over the freshly watered plants while the smell of cedar and ash calmed my bones. it smelt nothing like snow, like the cold, it smelt new and warm.

i felt the nightmares would be less frequent here. i brushed over my outer thigh while a smile formed on my lips. the dagger felt warmer, less inviting while the sun dusted my skin and the sound of crashing waves cleared away all negativity.
