Freya walked down with Natasha to the detention cells. Seeing that every one of them was empty gave her a bit of anxiety. She bit her lip as Natasha punched in the code for access. "I'll be right outside. If he gives you any trouble...." She made a gruesome gesture with her hands. "Thank you, Natasha."

Freya stepped forward. Loki had his back turned to her. He turned around to her silently. "Not many people can sneak up on me."

"I'm guessing I can't, then?"

Loki gave her a sarcastic smile. "No, dear. You can't." Freya rolled her eyes. "Why are you here? I would have thought that Fury would send someone else." Freya bit the inside of her cheek. "Fury didn't send me down here. Someone else did." Loki seemed astonished, but Freya knew damn well it was all an act. "So, I'm going to cut the shit. You tell us where the Tesseract is, and maybe we will ease up on the punishment we have planned for you."

"I've sent the Tesseract off, I know not where."

"That's absolute fucking bullshit and you know it, Loki." Freya was surprised by her tone. "Now, now. That's unseemly conduct for a lady." She knew he was trying to get a rise out of her. "What you did, what you've done is unseemly for an Asgardian prince. So I'd say we're even." Loki inhaled sharply. "So, Freya, the great Valkyrie, has decided to work for SHIELD, of all things."

"I did. Why do you care?"

"Because I know that Barton does as well. He's under my little spell, and I have plans for him. And when he's done I'll split his skull, and make you and the pretty Agent Romanov watch. You'll hear his screams of agony, and then I will slaughter you and SHIELD, one by one with the help of the monster you've brought on here."

Loki pounded on the glass to make his point. But Freya was unfazed. "You just gave me your plans. Thank you for your cooperation." Loki looked at her with disbelief. "What--"

"Coulson, come in. Loki has planned to slaughter SHIELD, with the help of the Hulk."

Freya heard a quiet, "Shit!" come over the walkie, then exited the room. Loki tapped on the glass, and Freya pretended she didn't hear him. It hurt her soul to see him like this, just a little bit, but she quickly put any of those thoughts out of her head. She was an agent of SHIELD, dammit, and one little whirlwind romance wasn't going to weaken her.

She joined up with Fury, and saw the others arguing about Phase 2. Steve turned to Freya. "Miss Lucie, did you know about this?" Tony cut in. "Of course she did. She's an agent here."

"Watch it, Stark. I might be an agent here, but there is a lot I don't know."

"Miss Lucie, do you know about Phase 2?" Steve asked once again. Freya bit her lip. "To some extent." That was all Fury could allow of her before he stepped in. "Sir, please put down the spear," he cautioned Bruce who had accused Natasha of "batting her eyelashes" and "luring him to SHIELD" . He dropped the scepter and hissed, "Sorry, kids. You don't get to see my party trick after all."

Freya glared at Tony. So far he wasn't her favorite person. Fury quickly got an urgent message on his pager--three rapid pings. "Lucie, to me! We've got an unknown presence here." She followed after him, taking the safety off on her gun.

It turned out to be Barton, leading an army of dangerous and armed men. Before Freya could get a shot off at him, he took down the security and power systems. "The cells!" Fury yelled while Agent Hill blocked an agent from a gas grenade. Freya, without any hesitation, ran down to the cells.

The cell that Loki was being held in was now open. "Shit!" She yelled, running to push him back in--it was an illusion. She fell right through Loki and onto her back in the cell. The door shut right behind her. Loki smirked. "The humans think us immortal, dear Freya. Shall we test that?" He began to try and press the button but was stopped by Coulson threatening him. "We developed this after you sent the Destroyer. Even I don't know what it does." He said with a smirk. "COULSON--"

It was too late.

Coulson had been impaled with the scepter. "NO!" Freya screamed. Something snapped inside of her and she pounded her fist against the glass, cracking it. The floor began to shake. Loki stood right over the button. "You wouldn't do it. You speak that you would, but you won't. You won't do this to your Valkyrie."

Your Valkyrie.

The words echoed in Loki's head, and for a moment, he faltered. A hopeful look gleamed in Freya's eyes as she saw his eyes flicker to their familiar emerald green. "Come on, Loki--" she pleaded with him. "He won't let me," Loki almost cried as the blue returned. He pressed the button and Freya felt herself falling.
