Your Valkyrie.

He won't let me.

These two sentences echoed in Freya's head as she kept falling. She saw herself slowly getting closer to the ground, and then common sense kicked in. Quickly she made her wings expand for the first time in however long, then used her strength to bust out of the cracked glass.

When she woke up, Freya was lying in a grassy meadow. "Is this Valhalla..." She trailed off before realizing it was quite real. "Shit, Loki," she groaned. Freya brushed the dirt off of her uniform and tucked her wings in. She hissed in pain, one of the bones was broken in her left wing. And upon further examination, her right ankle was sprained. She collapsed onto the ground and closed her eyes.

He won't let me

He won't let me

Freya couldn't stop thinking about those four words. Loki obviously meant something by it...mind control. The scepter. She was so stupid, how had she not realized this before? Loki was being mind controlled somehow. She stayed in the grass for a moment before muttering, "Allfathers, please. Guide me to help Loki...please guide me."

In an instant, her ankle was healed. Her wing, though, was still broken. "Shit," she muttered. Freya had to get back to the city, and in a good amount of time. At least she could walk. Freya walked to the nearest town and found a motorcycle. She commandeered it and started driving back to the city. I'm coming for you, Loki. I'm coming.

As she drove back to the city she saw destruction, progressively getting worse. "Loki..." She whispered to herself. She saw the Avengers fighting, and Thor had Loki cornered on top of Stark Tower. "Fuck not using my powers..." Her wings burst out of her uniform and she barely flew up to Stark Tower. Thor backed off for a moment. "Freya, you--"

"Loki."

She directed her attention to the god and stepped down. Freya was nowhere near his height but she looked him in the eyes, unafraid. "Freya." She stood closer to him. "Look around you. You think this madness will end with your rule? All the slaughter? It won't." Looking closer she could have sworn that his eyes turned green for just a moment. He threw her through the window into the tower, knocking her unconscious.

When Freya woke up she saw Loki lying in the floor, making a dying whale noise. She walked over to him and knelt over him. Loki held his head, groaning in pain. She could see his eyes were green once again. "Loki," she whispered lovingly. "Mmph...Freya? What happened?" He asked.

"You got beat up by the Hulk. And a bunch of other stuff happened too."

He looked around, terrified. "I...I did all this?" He asked. Freya nodded but quickly added, "It wasn't your fault, you were being controlled. You didn't know what you were doing." Loki hugged her and caressed her hair. "I missed you. I thought you'd died."

"I'm so sorry, Freya. It was...I didn't.."

She saw he couldn't bring himself to finish his sentence. "I'm here. Your Valkyrie is here," she kissed him. After a moment of just hugging each other, the others came in. Tony said, "Move aside, Angel."

"Angel?" Natasha shook her head. "Ignore him. He nicknames everyone." Tony stepped closer. "I said, move aside." Freya looked him in the eyes. She reluctantly stepped aside. Steve pulled her aside. "So...you got something going on with him?" He asked. "We were lovers before this...what he was doing, what he was? That wasn't really him. He was under mind control." Tony butted in. "He still killed people. I don't care if it was mind control--"

"Take care of how you speak, Stark."

Her tone alone frightened him a bit. "Fine. Don't think you're getting off on this, Reindeer Games. You too, Angel." Thor stepped in. "Actually, Loki will be returning to Asgard to face his punishment, and Freya will be returning with us." The rest looked astonished. "You mean your name isn't Lucie?" Steve asked.

"No. It's Freya. I'm an Asgardian Valkyrie, I needed a new identity."

Despite protests, Thor and Freya ignored them and he cuffed Loki. Back to Asgard they were.
