NICE TO MEET YOU, CHEKA-KUN

You thought perhaps it was only a coincidence or it was yourself who had interpreted wrongly, but you were wrong. It was clear that Cheka did not like you, if not hated you, and it seemed that he did not care that you knew about that. Whenever you met him in the hallway, you would be the only person in the squad that he ignored. Even Jack, who originally Cheka found a bit scary, was befriended by the little prince, but you were not.

Usually, it was not difficult for you to deal with children. Back in your original world, you worked in a TV station. Whenever there were any kids' TV shows which starred children or child actors and actresses, those who were lower in positions would be assigned to take care of the kids, as it was considered the most troublesome job in the whole station. You were that person low in position, so you had to deal with the kids before their shots.

At first, you hated this job really much, as you did not want to interact with kids. You had met some troublesome kids at the family banquet, and having to take care of them was the last thing you ever wanted. You started with no choice. However, as you spent more time with them, you found that they were actually not that terrible. They had some cute moments, and not all of the children would cry and scream for no reason. You started to develop some skills to interact with them, and slowly, you became the most popular staff member among the children. Most of the time, you were the only one in the TV station that could keep them under control.

You considered yourself an experienced one when it came to dealing with kids. It was why it especially shocked you when you found that Cheka disliked you.

"Do I look scary of something?" you could not help but ask yourself as you entered the Rose Maze. There were always different troubles waiting for you to deal with.

One of the iconic features of Heartslabyul was definitely the hedgehogs and flamingoes. They would be used in the croquet game, which was a traditional activity of the dorm in its Unbirthday Party. Students in Heartslabyul would take turns to tend and feed them. Ace was responsible to tend the hedgehogs this morning, but when he returned to his room, he all of a sudden remember that he had not locked the cage before he left. The hedgehogs were almost all gone when he finally went back to check on them. He rushed to Ramshackle Dorm and begged you to search for the hedgehogs with him.

It was the weekend and students were allowed to leave the campus and go to the town. Riddle went there with Trey and Cater to attend an event, and would return in the afternoon. Your mission was to find the hedgehogs before Riddle returned, as he would go chat with the hedgehogs every day. If he found that the hedgehogs disappear, Ace would be decapitated for sure.

Ace suggested Deuce and Grim search in the dormitory building, he search on the left-hand side of the maze, while you seek the hedgehogs on the right.

As it was a day off, there were no students in the Rose Maze. Most of them had gone to the town with their friends. When you stepped into the maze for the first time, you got lost in it for more than 20 minutes until Ace came to find you. After a few times, you started to be familiar with the maze and could remember some of its structures.

You walked through the maze built with green grass walls. You checked the bushes and holes on the tree trunks to see if the hedgehogs were in there. You had searched on the Internet and found that hedgehogs would tunnel under the ground and make their habitats there, so you made sure you pay special attention to the unusual holes on the ground.

After searching for about an hour, you found six hedgehogs. Three of them were hiding in the bushes, two were hiding in a tree hole while one peeped out from a hole it dug on the ground, and you caught it before it escaped. However, there were 15 missing hedgehogs in total. You put them into a carrying cage so as to prevent them from escaping again and went deeper into the maze to search for the remaining hedgehogs.
