This here is Race Wars, The racing side of OBX Kooks and Pouges come here, Most Kooks race cause their loaded but some pouges when they have money they race. That's JJ, my best friend since the third grade. He's about as local as they come. Latest in a long line of fishing, drinking, smuggling, vendetta-holding salt-lifers who made their living off the water. Best surfer I know. Just don't tell him I said that. Mild kleptomaniac and a future tax cheat.
That's Cleo we met her last summer she's a pouge she's the second brains of our operation, she save me and Sarah from sea so she good in my book

that's Kiara, or Kie, as we call her. When not saving turtles or listening to Marley, or getting a dolphin tattoo, she hangs out with us. I'm not really sure why, though. So, she's a rich kid, actually. Foot in both worlds. Her family owns The Wreck, this Outer Banks institution. Total cash cow with the tourists. You know, I'm not really sure how her parents feel about us.

That right there is Sarah Cameron, my wife. She was a kook until we got close she became a pouge she's amazing and I wouldn't want anyone else.

And that's Pope, the brains of the operation... he was the finalist for the Lucas T. Vanderhorst Merit Scholarship until shit happened. And the smartest person I know. Little bit of a weirdo.
His father's this legendary character, Heyward. Anything you wanted on the island, Heyward could get for you. Now, I'm not sure Heyward knew what to make of his oddball son, but it didn't matter. He was a Pogue, just like the rest of us.

And that in the white car that's Madeline, Maddy, or Mads when she's not beating someone up or hooking up a Kook or buying clothes she's hangs with us she been hanging with us since she was 11 until she started hanging with Rafe Cameron at 12 she still hanging with us though she's the best racer I know, her brother is loaded her family makes our Kooks look like Pouges, it's why we like her she out shines the shiners, her family has to leave every other month not sure why but her family is super chill with us, she OBX's princess. JJ has a thing for her. and That's my crew.

Mads POV
I got out of my car "Home sweet home" I said to myself
"Glad you could make it" Rafe said to me

"I'll race her" Johnny said

"You look pretty today" he said and I ignored him and we began racing he pressed his NO2 too soon and I won I heard the Pouges cheering I got out my car and Johnny gave me the money and I started counting but Rafe hugged me "Congrats Maddy" "Thanks" I said later I was hanging out with the pouges at home and we were Drink beers
"Watch I'm gonna do a backflip hold my beer" JJ said and he did and fell in the pool and we laughed at him "I think the back of my heel hit my head" He said and I put my hand out so he could grab it but he pulled me in instead and I started splashing him
"Hey Mads your phone is ringing" Kie said "Who is it" "Your brother" "Bring it here" She brought next to me and She picked it up for me since my hands were wet "Hello" "Hey Mads I need you to pick a package for me" "ok where" "I'll send you the address"
"Ok" I said and got out of the pool "You guys wanna come" "Hell yeah"JJ said and an hour later we were driving in the Twinkie "Mads! It's been a while" Barry said "Just give the package" Kie said "What's the rush" "My brother doesn't like late shipment" "Yo Barry I got the mon- I heard a voice said and It was Rafe "Shit! Maddy" "What the fuck Rafe?!? What are you doing here?" I asked
"What did he do now" Kie said
"I'll explain later"

Barry gave me the package and we left, Later I was hanging with Sarah and Kie
"So what happened with Rafe" Kie asked

Boys POV
"Guys I got a problem" JJ said
"What's up?" Pope asked
"Do you think I have a shot with Maddy"
"Bro no one has a shot with her"

Maddy's POV
After we went shopping. I we're hanging buy the pool. I had ask Dom if I could have the house for tonight for the party and he was cool with it

"And the money we spend I get from racing"
Later the party started and the kooks came "who the hell invited them" JJ said

"Mads let's go" Rafe said and I got on his bike "you can stay at my place since you're family's gone, if you want"
"Thanks"

"Uhh you can take the bed. I'll sleep on the floor" he said
"Rafe I'm ok on the couch" I said
"No way. you know when I said I'd quit I meant it"

"I needed money"

"Can you drive me there still drunk"
"Mads it's JJ" he said knock on the ring the bell to Mads house
"Look I'm sorry" he said and Tej opened the door
