𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨 ; 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫

I was invited to a party tonight, my best friend and
Her family.
You wondered in a specific persons would be there but last time you heard from him he had a girl.

Ah tuff luck. You thought to yourself before driving into the parking lot.
You seen a bunch of cars surrounding the house along with music

Walking out the car you locked it and walked into the house, your friend was stood by the door waiting for you, "what took you so long?" She asked
You smiled a bit "traffic, I tried to get here as fast as I could" you tell her

"Hah well cmon." She said grabbing your hand and taking you out the back door to the back yard,
Tons of table and people where there.
"Hey..is he gonna be here?" You asked her
She rolled her eyes at you
"What is with you.." she said

"It's not my fault.." you say
"It is you little weirdo, you like my brother..he's an ass." She tells you
You scoffed "he's handsome.." you say half daydreaming

She looked at you unamused
"You got some weird thing for men like him.." she said dragging you to a seat
"No I don't..I just like-" you got cut off by her
"Military man." She said looking at you

You laughed a bit "so? At least I know I'm safe." You tell her
She rolled her eyes
"You can be with anyone, not him.." she said

Just as you two where talking you glanced past her and seen him walk through the back door, his girlfriend was beside him.
You friend turned around to see him
"Oh..I forgot they where still together.." she said scoffing
You sighed a bit "it's ok.."

You looked away and smiled as the server gave you two a plate of food, tortillas where handed on a plate for you two to eat with your food.
"How long have they been together?" You asked your friend

You glanced up to see him talking and laughing with others, he turned a bit and looked at you.
He gave you a half smile before looking back to others and his conversation.

You gripped onto the spoon in your hand before looking away,
"They've been together for a couple months I think." She said
"His girlfriend hates me. But oh well not my problem."
She said again

You chuckled a bit
"If it makes you feel better..I'd rather you with him, then her." She looked at you smiling

You smiled a bit before getting up
"I've got to use the restroom I'll be back." You tell her
She nods while she took a swig of beer
"Ok don't take long." She said

You nod and walked away passing people and kids playing around.
You passed him and his little group,
You felt his stare but ignored him and the uncomfortable tension you felt as you walked past him .

Getting into the bathroom you took a breath looking at yourself in the mirror.
Sitting on the toilet you went on your phone.
A couple minutes flew by, you heard a knock.
"I'm almost done" you tell them

You heard another knock a couple seconds later
Scoffing you flushed and washed your hands
Another knock
"Hold on." You say more annoyed

Walking out the door you grew annoyed looking up at the person
"You know it's not that hard to wait." You said
He looked down at you
"You took forever." He said

You gulped 'oh shit it's him.'
You thought
"You took a long time." He said
"Its nice to see you though, after a while. You've changed." He said

You nod "you two Alejandro." You smiled a bit
He smiled back "how's life treating you?" He asked you
You drew a blank, you wanted to make him jealous,
You knew it was bad but eh oh well.
"I'm great, life's been good. I've been seeing this guy recently and my job is doing good."
That was all a lie. I had no one, and my job sucked.

He nodded "oh..hum who are you with?" He asked
"A guy?" You tell him confused
"No sorry..uhm what he like?" He asked
You shrugged "he's a good man, also a doctor." You smiled
"How are you and your girlfriend?" You asked
He glanced passed you and down the hall way
"Uhm..we- we're ok." He said

You nod "well it was nice getting to ta-"
You got cut off by Alejandro
"Hey you never let me have your number, could I have it?" He asked
"For what? We aren't that close" you chuckled a bit

"Oh..uhm well I just wanted to get to know you more, I don't wanna be with you I just wanna be friends maybe?" He said half lying
You grew confused but nodded
You did know his sister and you knew the family for a long time
"Sure." You said 

He handed you his phone and you out your contact in
"Well I should be on my way." You smiled a bit
He nods and smiled a little
"It was nice seeing you." He said looking at you,
He looked at you different. As if he didn't want you to leave. Hm maybe you just seen that..

You smiled and walked away.

He watched you leave, his smile fell as he seen you leave.
