I left and went back to her house and knocked on the door but of course nothing worked. I ended up heading back home thinking of what could work and what to say if I get her to finally answer. While I sat there thinking I ended up having a beer to see if that would spark an idea and before I knew it was I was drunk and more clueless than before but I walked back over there. I knocked and rang the doorbell and even called her name a few times before I ended up dropping my beer the glass shattered instantly. I was in the middle of cleaning it up getting cut in the process when she opened the door
L- what cole
C- I need to explain please please let me explain
When I turned to talk she saw my hands and instantly went into panic mode.
L- oh my goodness come with me
She grabbed my arm and pulled me with her to the bathroom and started cleaning up the cuts and bandaging it up and I couldn't help but smile at her but she wouldn't look me in the eyes once
C- thank you for helping
L- you're welcome I guess
C- will you please look at me
L- no thanks
C- why not
L- because no good will come from it
C- meaning
L- nothing just forget it
I sighed and used my finger to lift her chin up to look at me and her eyes were bloodshot and it was clear she's been crying
C- what's wrong why were you crying
L- you wouldn't care so don't ask
C- don't shut me out I wouldn't be here if I didn't care
L- you're drunk and probably horny so yeah you would be here because I'm easy access for you
C- is that what you think is that why you think I slept with you
L- well it's clearly not because you have actual feelings so what else am I supposed to think
C- do you know you're the only one I've let stay the night with me
L-yeah right
C- it's the truth
L- and why should I believe that
C- because it's true
L- whatever
C- Lauren when we kissed I felt something I've never felt before and when I held you in my arms i was the happiest I've ever been I was going to see if you'd be willing to work with me on trying for a relationship when I woke up only I woke up to find you gone not just gone from my house but you weren't even here either and it made me mad it hurt me and made me realize I was stupid to think you would actually like me back

C- do you know why I don't do relationships or when the last time I had a relationship was
L- no
C- I was in high school dating this girl Brooke I was so happy and I thought so in love with her I thought I was going to marry her only it turned out she didn't give a shit about me she only wanted to be with me when it came time for the big time so until I got there she cheated on me every single day after promising me in the beginning she would never cheat on me after knowing my ex before that did nothing but cheat on me so after dealing with that I saw no point in trying you're the first person who has made me want to try and you didn't even try to do anything to make it happen
L- oh my goodness cole I'm so so sorry you had to go through that and I'm sorry I left I panicked my head was all over the place cause that's not the kind of thing I do I don't just hop into bed like that honestly you're only the second I've slept with
C- wait really
L- yeah I had a boyfriend who I was with for years and everything was perfect then he got a job and that's when things got weird and in the end I found out he was cheating on me with a coworker and ended up getting her pregnant so he was going to marry her and the whole process gave me trust issues which is why I found it easier to argue with you all the time but it didn't stop me from falling for you
C- I'm so sorry
L- I'm sorry too
And with that she ended up crying again and was ready to walk away I'm guessing so I didn't see but I was faster cause I pulled her into my arms and held her as she cried into my chest.
C- let it out it's ok I'm right here I got you I'm not going anywhere
