*LUKE's POV*
I sat on the edge of the bed, shocked, as the monitor fell into a flat, beeping line. The action alerted the doctors, I'm assuming, because a hoard of men and women in scrubs came rushing in and pushing me out of the way.
"Clear!" I heard a women yell, my mind still foggy from the events that happened in the last 30 seconds.
About 10 seconds later, a doctor turned to me.
"Son," he started. "It's alright, she's back."
He pat my shoulder and left the room, with the other doctors, after stabilizing her condition.
She was awake now.
"Luke," she groaned.
"Yes?"
She sucked in a huge gasp.
"You can hear me?" she whispered.
"Yeah." I replied monotonously.
She started to cry, with happiness, I think.
"Could you hear me when I was talking to you?" I asked one of the questions on my mind.
"Yes. All of it." she replied.
"And you still said no.." I looked away from her.
"I know."
"Why?"
"I know what you've been doing, Luke. Why would you do that to me?"
"You trusted me. I never wanted to break you, and that's what I've done. I broke that trust and in turn, your heart. This experience made me understand how much in cant live without you. I'm so sorry I let you down. Please forgive me." I rushed out, starting to cry.
"Do you really mean that? Like, really?"
"Yes." I took in a deep breath as tears streamed down my face.
It was silent for about a minute.
"When can I come home?" she asked.
"I don't know." I replied truthfully.
She nodded.
"But i really am sorry, Kat." I took a deep breath before speaking. "I lov-"
Just as I was about to confess my love to her, Ashton, Michael, Calum, and Grace, all stampeded through the door.
"The doctor told us she... She's awake!" Ashton spoke excitedly and out of breath, running towards her and i on the hospital bed.
"You woke her up, Like sleeping beauty!" Grace cheered, looking at me.
I looked away from her happy expression, and chewed on my lip.
Michael scoffed, rolling his eyes at me.
I bet he's the one who told her i cheated on her.
I'm a horny teenage guy, I wouldn't turn down a few nice fucks, especially when i was drunk.
But they meant nothing to me.
"Sir!" Someone yelled, causing me to jump slightly.
"What?" i growled, regaining my balance.
"You have to leave now."
I looked up, there was a doctor and a few nurses in the room. I hadn't even noticed them enter, or the boys leave.
"Why do i have to leave?" i asked.
"Kaitlyn needs to be checked by the doctor." A nurse simply stated.
I got up from the bed and walked to the door. I must've been zoned out for a while because i was the only one in here besides the doctor and nurses.
"She prefers Kat." i snorted as i left the room.
