Cato's screams echoed through my head nonstop. Was I being selfish? Was I trying to make him out to be the bad guy, when he wasn't? Now that Clove was dead there was a possibility for the both of us to make it out of here, only that would require killing both Katniss and Peeta. Something I don't wanna do. They had both helped me so much more than Cato had in these games, they were good people who did not deserve to die. Then again, everybody in this arena did not deserve to die. Even Marvel was a victim of the Capitol, the same as Rue.

I do not blame the boy from District 3 for the wound in my arm, he was only trying to survive. Which in a way is what Cato is doing too. He may have his issues and dark secrets I will never know, but within him is still a good person. A good person who has just done bad things like the rest of us had.

After Jenna's death I blamed Marvel, and partially The Boy from 10, for everything. I just wanted to kill, and I did. I had taken out both tributes from District 10, in their eyes I was the bad guy. Not the careers or the ones who helped them, I was the one they hated. The one they were wishing was dead.

"I see the cave, we're close," Katniss says as she continues to support my left side. My head had gotten slightly better but my arm still hurt terribly. I felt it growing numb from the pain but I knew I couldn't let go, I had to keep my axe if I had any chance of winning.

The entrance of the cave nears, I see it now. "One last step," she mumbles while pushing me up the steep rock. I quickly reach the hole and slide down inside, making sure not to put any pressure on my arm. "You went with her and didn't tell me!" Peeta shouts, causing me to turn toward his body, which lay propped up against a slanted rock. My mouth hands open as I try to come up with some explanation.

Luckily the attention is taken away from me as Katniss comes down. "Why did you go? You promised you wouldn't," He says as Katniss walks to his side. "You needed the medicine, and so did Y/n. If we didn't get it his arm would get infected and you wouldn't be able to walk at all," She says while pulling a large silver tin from the black bag we grabbed. Inside was a clear pinkish jelly. "Slide your bandages off," She says before taking some of the jelly in her hands and rubbing it into Peeta's wound. He initially hisses at the contact but slowly relaxes as she continues. "You need some too," He says while looking at the cut running down Katniss's forehead.

She gently pushes him away, "Y/n needs it more than I do."

My bandages slipped off easily since the bleeding had started again. It wasn't too bad but it still hurt a bit. Katniss holds her arm out, offering the tin of medicine to me. I take a decent amount and coat the area.

My head turns to look up at her, eyes tracing over the large cut Clove had given her. "Peeta's right, you should have some," I say as she walks back over to him. She lets out an annoyed sigh and hands the tin to Peeta, who was smiling. "Told you," he says before using his thumb to wipe some of the pink medicine onto her head. "There you go. All better," he hums.

The rest of the day passed by quickly, I spent most of it sleeping off my pain alongside Peeta. The only one who left the cave at some point in the day was Katniss when she needed to get food for us. Other than that it was just rest, saving my energy for the final days of these games.

The warm golden glow of the morning sun creped through the cracks in the cave making it brighter than it had ever been. My eyes slowly open, the energy that I seemed to be missing the other day had made its way back to me. The pain in my arm was nearly gone, and my head wasn't heavy at all. As I slowly sat myself up I noticed the bandages had fallen off, underneath there was nothing but a faint red mark on my skin. It healed itself almost completely overnight.

"Your head," Peeta says while sitting himself and Katniss up. She felt the wound but nothing was there. "Oh my god Peeta your leg!" She says while widening the hole in his pants. I looked over at it, the mark on his leg was much bigger than the one on my arm but it was still better than it had been the day before. The Capitol had surprised me yet again with their fancy technology.
