Chapter 3
"Hi!" in the middle of my readings, a pretty girl approached me. She has this straight black hair and clips on it. A preppy girl.
Ah, she's my classmate? Right?
I stopped reading and close my book and looked up to her and smiled.
"Hello! How may I help you?" I said while looking directly at her orbs.
"Oh! I don't need help but let's be friends?" maligalig na sabi niya and she extended her arms for a handshake.
I was hesitant at first but she grabbed my hands to shake with her.
"Yiee! I really like you, you know? Although, you're tahimik and seems to be outcasted here sa class pero who cares?" umupo ito sa empty seat beside me and talked to me as if we've known each other for years.
I'm actually overwhelmed by her presence and attention.
"Uhm, girl? I may sound rude but hindi pa kita kilala?" alanganin kong sabi sa kanya na ikinagulat niya lang at tumawa nang malakas.
"OMG! I thought you already know me since it's been weeks na classmates na tayo!" eksaherada nitong saad. She doesn't seem offended at parang natutuwa pa ito.
"I'm sorry for that! I'm Atheia Faye Lim and you can call me Eya! Ikaw lang tatawag na Eya sa akin kasi BFF na tayo." she whispered the last sentence to me.
Don't get me wrong but I'm actually happy for having a friend but isn't this too much? Hindi pa ako gawa makahinga sa pag approach niya sakin.
"Kalma muna tayo? Okay? I'm overwhelmed by your presence and your energy," prangka kong saad which made her even happier.
"OMG! Bestie na talaga tayo!" okay? she's weird.
"Faye! We're studying!" our class leader scolded her ngunit inirapan niya lang ito.
"Nye, nye. Two-faced brat," I looked at her confusedly.
Binalingan ako nito muli nang tingin at ngumiti.
"That's Kaelani, she's bossy and annoying just because she's smart and the teachers' said to like her but us? Nah! We know she's a bitch," bulong nito sa akin.
"Chill, girl. If that's the case then just ignore her."
She just pouted because of what I said.
"Yeah, you're right. I don't need that face to ruin my day," I smiled because of her answer.
"Why don't you sit in front along with me? It's so malayo here kaya," she suggested.
"And... look at this notes! You damn geek! It's great!" she said again while checking on my notes.
"Astoria, my girl! Ang daling intindihin nang notes mo!" tumingin siya sa akin na tila bilib na bilib sa ginawa ko.
I chuckled.
"I can share those if you want."
She gave me a big hug.
"God, you're the best!" she even kissed me on cheeks.
"And, just call me Asti. Thank you for being my friend," I genuinely said to her.
"Aww!" mukha siyang aso dahil sa pagpout niya.
"Kaelani! May oral recit ba ngayon?! Why didn't you announced it?!" gigil na tanong nang babaeng bagong pasok.
"I did and you weren't listening," Kaelani answered and didn't bother to throw a glance at the girl.
