Chapter 5
I thank God for a peaceful weekend that I got after our dinner with the Sy's. I had a lot of time for myself and some self-studies.
I'm walking to the convenience store inside our school to get some soda before heading to class.
I waited for the customer in front of me to get finish.
After buying food, I'm now heading to our department.
I let my eyes wander around the school and from not far I saw a gray british shorthair cat napping in front of the bush.
Oh! It's cute.
I went to the cat, squat sat in front of it, and tried to pet it pero umabante ang kamay ko dahil baka maabala ko ang tulog nito. How come this cat is just here? It's not a typical cat to wander just anywhere. The cat opened its eye and I was in awe because of its cuteness kaya hindi ko na mapigilan na hawakan ito.
I pet his head and it even purred!
"Aw, you're so cute!" sabi ko saka binuhat siya pahiga sa lap ko.
"Don't you have a family?" I asked the cat and it just pur.
"You are kawawa to be left alone here."
"Are you a female or a male? Or what are you pronouns?" I asked again and it just scrub it head to my body.
I lift him up to see its gender and saw nothing like balls on it.
"So, you're a girl?!" lumaki ang mata ko dahil sa tuwa.
"Hm... you wanna go home with me?
"But I would mind."
"Siguro..." makahulugang sabi nito.
"It's not on your face that you would kidnap a cat."
Asar akong tumingin sa kanya. Sinong nagsabi na kikidnapin ko ito?
"I'm not going to kidnap her!" asik ko na ikinatawa niya lang.
"Really? Then what about 'would you like to go home with me? My family won't mind,' aren't you planning on taking him? Huh," he even said it like how I've said it earlier.
"Just go, Zeli. Mind your own business," pambubugaw ko sa kanya.
"This is my business. That's my cat," mabilis akong napabaling sa kanya.
"Come on.
"I'm not! Look at her collar," he defended.
"What collar? She doesn't hav-."
