Chapter 4

The three of them sat down for lunch...

Ross and Lucas both sense something dangerous around them

"Is something wrong?" Selene asked

Before they could reply, someone started firing at them from the bushes

"We need to leave now!" Ross and Lucas started firing back as Selene stared at the mess.

"Why are you standing there? Do you wish to die?!" Ross shouted at Selene, scaring her

Ross picked her up and asked Lucas to cover them and all of them managed to escape

"WE ARE SAVED!!" Selene screams in joy

"Are you crazy?! You could've seriously hurt yourself with that stunt!" Said Ross

"I didn't tell you to save me!" Says Selene angrily

"So you wanted to die there, idiot?" Said Ross furiously

"Don't argue with me like you are my dad! Besides I can take care of myself" says Selene as she crashes into a tree and faints

"Am I really dead? Is this hell?" Said Selene the moment she woke up

"I swear I'll shoot you if you don't keep quite" said Ross irritatedly

"Please calm down Master... Miss Selene needs a little rest right now" said Ross's family doctor

"Can I please see my X-ray reports?" Asked Selene as the doctor handed her the reports and she started examining it

"Can you even understand that?" Asks Ross with doubt

"I have studied about medical radiology, anthroporomy and psychology from a young age" says Selene

"I see..." Says Ross as Lucas enters the room

"How are you feeling now doll? Does it still hurt?" Asks Lucas

"I'm okay now, thanks! I guess you are the only decent human being in this house to ask me if I'm feeling okay instead of questioning me" says Selene in discomfort

Ross quitely leaves the room as Lucas takes care of Selene.

At midnight, Selene leaves her room to take a stroll for some fresh air. She spots Ross in the balcony and approaches him.

"Mr. Grumpy? What are you doing here?"

Ross looks at her and says

"Oh, you're here... How to you feel now?"

"I'm okay now, I feel better but I'm surprised you asked" said Selene

"About that... I apologise for acting all rude" says Ross

"That's alright! I don't hold grudges!" She said

"You see, when I got injured, no one cared to ask me if I'm okay. They just kept interrogating me and I started feeling like someone inhuman. I'm sorry" said Ross

"You know... We didn't technically start on the right path but I feel like you're someone worth knowing. What do you say?" Says Selene

"You don't think I'm scary or evil?" Asked Ross

"It takes a lot of courage to say a sorry you know... At least that's what I think! So what do you say? Friends?" Say Selene as she reached her hand our at him

Ross looked at her and shook hand.
