They've ventured a quarter mile into the woods away from town, walking along the dirt road. Stepping onto crunching sticks and leaves, showing the season started changing from summer to fall. Leaves turning yellow and orange, already started piling onto the ground. Half naked trees, and from the burning inferno which is also known as the sun to the light soothing breeze from the wind. The sunlight dimmed out by the grey clouds hovering over them. Despite luckily agreeing to live with Riley she still appears to be very paranoid, having her guard up and being aware of her surroundings. Keeps a 3-foot distance behind Riley as she constantly scans everything around her. The faintest noise alerted her. Apollo pranced along beside Riley feeling cheery. After everything that's happened and being reunited with his trainer, he couldn't be happier. Feeling very grateful for Absol and all her help.

Crossing over a wooden bridge stretching over a small stream in a ditch. After a few more minutes of walking a cottage became visible among the wilderness. Having the entire property to herself, getting a real good deal on it. The house was wrecked when she bought it plus being a quarter mile away from town it's been on sale for years, and it continued to drop in price desperately wanting someone to get it off their hands. Till Riley came in and bought it from them. 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. The house needed some serious renovating. With some help from her best friend/rival Jack and a few of her coworkers, she managed to turn the entire place upside down. Replacing pipes, flooring, and even constructing a new porch. The whole place took about 2 weeks to finish. As of then, it's only been Riley and Apollo living there.

"Well, here it is. Your new home Absol." Riley welcomed. Opening the door the door for her. Absol hesitantly stood at the doorway frowning, looking down at the floor. Apollo tried getting her to move forward by pushing the back of her legs but she refused to budge. "In? Like inside?" Riley's hand gestures pointing from the door to inside the house, figuring that she's not understanding. Absol just sitting at the doorway tilting her head and frowning at them. A few more hand gestures later, Riley decided to get behind her and help Quilava push her inside. "Come. On." From what felt heavier than pushing a hundred-pound boulder, she started to break a sweat before getting her inside. "There. That wasn't too hard was it?" Riley nervously smiled, lightly panting. "Now then, let's get you all comfortable, and settled in." Rummaging through her belongings in the other room she found a few spare cushions, pillows, comforters, etc. Figuring that a single cushion is far too small for her large figure. Looking back at her she doesn't seem too comfortable, sitting in the living room refusing to move from where she planted her paws. Riley can only imagine this must be a massive transition for her. Pressuring her with living with them was a rash decision being caught up in the moment. Riley was very grateful and only wanted to repay her. Hmmmm... I promise I'll make this place feel like home to you.

Some time had passed, Riley decided to lay out some comforters and sheets a few feet right beside the fireplace. Believing she would be more habitable in the living room. The open environment should help her nerves settle down. Her vacant expression makes it hard to tell what she's thinking. "You can relax you know?" Quilava urged, sitting next to her. "..." Riley crossed her arms. Thinking to herself what she could do to break this wall of hers. Is she hungry? " H-hey what do you know, it's pretty close to dinner. Are you guys hungry?" Riley said. Trying to break the awkward atmosphere. It's 3 pm... Quilava questioned. Absol didn't respond. Only hearing the growl coming from her stomach and the embarrassed look on her face, not able to hold it in. "Hehe, gotcha. I'll go whip something up for us." Jack once told her "One good meal can solve any problem." Pulling out a large pan and a saucepan from her cabernet, it finally clicked in her head. "Oh! Thats right! I need to call Jack and apologize!" Frantically pulled out her phone from her pocket, giving him a call. Rings once. Rings twice. Rings for a third time. No one answered. Is he that upset with me...?
