I shifted on my chair. Glancing around the room through hooded eyes. Today was not the day. Apparently, I've become the rotten egg of the school. Wonderful. How fun is that.

It was five minutes before it hit ten o' clock. Five minutes of hell. And Forty five minutes of absolute boredness. Cool.

I was sitting on my desk. Waiting for the teacher to let us go down the barn. As much as I hated being down there, it was way better than to sit in the depressing room my second period has become.

It was much more preferable than to sit back and watch as my so enthusiastic teacher teaches us about cow feces. No question asked. Staying in that stinky room was not an option.

We headed down the barn. Under the dismissal of our teacher. As soon as we stepped outside- I could smell that smell.

I hated that scent. Overwhelming fragrance of unkempt animals and their wastes. Under the unknown layers of straw layed fresh excrement that nobody cleaned. What a horrible place this was. Not worse than the hell that waited for me eagerly.

Sliding inside, I avoided Stinky. The sick calf we had. My classmates decided to give him that name. Our teacher warned us not to touch him because he had a highly contagious disease-which I don't remember the name of.

To this day, I still don't know how Stinky got sick or why he was there in the first place [if he was so sick like they had claimed him to be] but I'm pretty sure Stinky got the other cows sick.

I started seeing similar symptoms on their skins. That weird gray thing laying on their coat. Something that looked like dead skin.

After some time, I headed outside. Not wanting to be with the bunch. Tired of the agony smell.

I couldn't understand how some people were so happy to come and enjoy nature. Enduring the smell. I found myself with the group of friends. They sat outside at their respective table, in front of the barn.

Where you pass to enter the abyss. I always found them playing on their phones. Avoiding stepping inside. They considered themselves too cool to be with the bunch.

I decided to take cover under the pine trees near them. Sunlight burning on my skin. I took out my phone, checking the time. Twelve minutes until lunch.

"That girl stinks." An abominable voice sliced through the silence.

"Who?" the other one asked, never once looking up from their phones.

"Her. The one over there."

I averted my gaze down to my phone and scrolled aimlessly. My fingers were trembling. Knowing that the "girl" was me.

After that I heard silence. I didn't leave so fast. I wanted to act unaffected. Like always, I acted as if I didn't hear anything. As if I didn't know anything. Much easier to sit back and be bullied than to stand up for yourself against the multitude.

I ignored them like my mom told me to. Even though her advice was the least helpful in that situation.

The bell rang. We rushed inside, not wanting to be late for lunch. I grabbed my stuff, saying goodbye to my only friend.

Who was nothing more than a mere acquaintance who I had a feeling was sick of me.

Avoiding the stares and murmurs on my back, I rushed my way inside hell.

Mexican guy, how could you? I thought to myself, feeling betrayed. But... what can you expect from somebody who doesn't know you?

Somebody who always went along with the bunch and acted as if he was the cherry on top of the cake.
