A jester that's crying is useless
You had put on your shoes in the elevator and done your best to try and wipe away the tears and not cry anymore. You didn't want to cry because of Jennie, you hated that she had made you cry and you refused to let your tears spill since you refused to believe that she could make you spill tears to begin with. It wasn't like this, Jennie wasn't supposed to be able to make you cry and hurt like this, you weren't going to acknowledge it because you weren't going to let yourself realise that she had done any of those things. She was your safe place. She was probably aware of the fact that you wouldn't acknowledge what she did and act as if it never happened because you loved her too much and let people off the hook that easily, especially Jennie.
It was always the people you loved the most that had the most power, their words would always hurt more than anyone else's words because you valued your loved one's words and opinions the most. You stopped in your steps as you were walking towards the exit, always looking back for Jennie. You were really going out to seek comfort in people you weren't comfortable with instead of getting all the love and comfort you needed in Jennie's arms, in the way she would kiss you and hold you until everything would be ok again. You wanted to run back to her, that's what you always did, you always ran back to people even if they had hurt you. You would run back to Jennie no matter how much she would shatter your heart because once it was back to whole it was still beating just for her.
You didn't run back though when you heard the short honk outside the apartment building. You heaved a sigh and continued to walk until you reached the heavy door, pushing it open while wiping at your eyes with your jacket sleeve. The expensive black sedan waiting in the parking lot right outside the building. It was Jun-seo's car as he offered to come and pick you up since he had to leave the pub to buy cigarettes either way. You walked through the humid summer air that was thick and you could feel the humidity in each breath you took as it gathered in your throat. It was pretty hot but definitely a bit cooler than earlier and you reached the car, opening the back door since the front seat was occupied and you honestly didn't want to sit in the front with Jun-seo. Opening the door, music was playing and you got inside the car that reeked of cigarettes, sitting down in the black leather seat. The smoke stung your eyes and the windows were barely open as everyone was smoking. "It's been some time, hasn't it? You've been MIA." Jun-seo said as he looked at you through the rear-view mirror, his eyes slightly squinted and you were the slightest bit confused about why he was looking at you that way. Remembering that you had cried and it was probably more than visible to him. "Just been busy." You replied over the music and glanced beside you at the guy who was sitting in the back too, another guy was in the front and you did not know any of them and felt uncomfortable in a car full of men.
"Of course...That's Zhang Y/n and the guy beside you is Jae-Suk and this right here is Ye-Jun." He introduced and you glanced over at the guys, melting into the leather seat as you tried not to think too much and not meet gazes since you had been crying. "What're you doing over here?" Jun-seo asked as he knew where you lived. You fiddled with the hem of your skirt and blinked your eyes at how they stung from the smoke-filled car while you guys drove through the city. The streets were filled and you had no clue where this place was except that it was in Itaewon. "I was at a friend's place." You saw how he exchanged a look with Ye-Jun in the front seat and your attention went to Jae-Suk who spoke to you. "So, how old are you? You look...14." He questioned, cringing slightly at the thought of you being 14 and your lips pursed. "18." His lips parted at your answer and he hummed, nodding his head, his eyes bloodshot. He was pretty bulky and looked like he was barely fitting in the back with his legs occupying a ton of space, being probably ten times as big as you. He had a pair of black shorts on and a white crew neck that was tight on his torso, nothing special with his looks as he looked decent, but he smelled of horrible perfume and alcohol.
