-Starting at Soph's perspective:
We all knew Ethan liked Maddie.
But did Maddie like Ethan?
No one knew.
She wasn't one to share her emotions with us and so the whole eating disorder came as a shock to us.
Ethan was the one who knew everything. He would go on a limb for her, but no one else. He was just like that.
If any of us asked him to get us something or do a favor he would never do it and tell us to do it ourselves. But if Maddie asked he would drop anything and everything he was doing just to get or do that task
That's why when he started acting different a year ago it was a shocker.
-Maddie's perspective:
In the hall onto our next class I walk with him.
"Sorry about yesterday. Guess I was just jealous about missing the last 10 months without you guys." I say out of nowhere.
"It's alright. We would have been as well." He says smirking down at me.
I smirk back and then look away.
School ends and I ride home with him.
I get dropped off and my parents wait at the door.
"How was it?" They say in sink.
"...It was good!" I say smiling.
"Aw, yay!!"
"Can I get my license?" I say out of the blue.
They chuckle.
Maybe high school would become normal.
Friday night I go to the basketball game as requested by all of them.
I walk into the gym.
No one.
Did I go to the wrong place? I look around in confusion and then look at my phone to see if I'd gotten any messages.
All of a sudden the lights turn on and a huge board with music playing says 'Welcome Back Maddie!'
I smiled looking at the board.
"Oh my god..." I say crying.
They all come out and hug me.
"This is what we were working on the day you came home." Soph says hugging me tightly.
"Aw.. thank you guys. I love you guys." I say with tears still dropping
I wipe my tears and smile.
They all go and check the decorations.
"Like it?" I hear Ethan say.
"I love it." I say with a huge smile.
"Well, my mom grounded me for sneaking out the other night, so I've got to get home. Text me." He says and winks.
"Okay.." I say shyly.
"Oh my god! That was so cute!" Kayla says.
"You're here!" I hug her.
"Who is that hunk a hunka?" She says playfully as we release from the hug.
"Ethan." I say instantly.
"Ooh. That's Ethan." She says mysteriously.
"Yeah.." I say in a trance.
I walk over to the girls and thank them.
"So.. you and Ethan. We heard what happened that day. Cute." Soph says
I smile shyly.
"He's so sweet and I don't know how to describe how I feel, but it's just like a sensational wave fireworks." I say like amazed
"So you do like him?" Addi says.
"Yeah..sorry you just know I don't like talking about that stuff with anyone." I say back.
"Girl it's okay! But hey, you got yourself a man! You also pulled the hottest, funniest, and guy every girl in this town wants." Soph says
I smirk shyly.
"You look so good Mad. We're sorry for being so distant and not acting like we cared but, we were just scared and confused on how it all happened. We felt like we didn't do enough for you." Addi says
"No don't say that.. you guys did all this, it shows me you care." I say back.
"Actually.. this was all Ethan. I mean we just helped make the posters." Soph says.
"Really? Like for real?" I say in lovingly shock.
"Yeah for real. He planned the posters out, he got all the decorations, and he even got it scheduled last minute to be here. We didn't know when you were coming back and were just going to hang them around the school. But when you came back so early he arranged like 3 days ago for it to be today at this basketball event." Addi says.
"Omg... Do you guys mind if I leave? I know this is for me but I need to get somewhere." I say with my heart beating.
"No you're fine. This was just a tribute you don't have to stick for the event." They say.
"Okay thanks! Love you guys!" I say quickly
I run outside to my new car and text him.
'Hey can I come over?'
'I told you I'm grounded stupid.'
'Please. I need to talk to you and besides, it's me.'
'Okay, yeah you're right come on over.' He responds with after a little.
I speed home from school
I rush inside running up the stairs.
"Everything all right sweetie?" My mom yells up to me.
"I'm great mom! Going over to Ethan's." I say excitedly.
"Okay! Be home by 12."
"Of course!" I yell back down to her.
I run over to his house quickly and realize his parents aren't home.
I knock quickly.
"Come on.." I mumble.
He opens the door..
