Today was the day. It was Tuesday.

You breathed in shakily through your lungs as the lunch bell rang. Clenching your fists and drawing out the only ounce of confidence you could muster, you stood up from your desk.

Walking to your locker seemed so far away at that moment. When you made it there, you were delighted to see the face of a cute boy waiting for you there. Peter.

"Hey!" he called through the crowd of students as you ducked beneath a tall guy's arm.

"Hey, Peter!" you smiled giddily. "Here to walk me to lunch?"

"Uh- yeah, well- I kind of thought you wouldn't know where our table was and then panic trying to find it," he rambled.

"You were sorta right on that part," you whispered to yourself. The roar of students grew louder with every passing second. "Thanks," you have him a pretty smile. The best one you could put on.

"No problem," he blushed, scratching the back of his head.

You unlocked your locker, trying to look less awkward about it. You pulled out your lunch bag and closed the door, kicking it shut since the small corner at the bottom never fully shut. Peter startled a little at the loud noise before laughing to himself about it.

"Ready to go?" he asked with a small glint in his eyes.

"Yep! MJ and Ned are waiting for us at the table. You were taking too long!" He exclaimed as he dragged you down the hallway. Maybe the walk to your locker really did take forever.

You ignored the fact that he was holding your hand. You ignored the fact that he had waited for you. You were trying your best to not become the blushing mess that he already had become. Which you also didn't seem to notice.

Once you had gotten there, he gestured to the open seat beside him as he sat down. Ned and MJ were already chatting about classes as you got there.

"There you are!" MJ exclaimed. "I thought you had gotten lost or something."

"Uh- how would we get lost?" you asked.

"Trust me, this guy's done it enough times," Ned said, jabbing his thumb at Peter as he looked offended.

"How's your morning been?" MJ turned towards you.

"Uh- it's been pretty good!" you grinned.

"Even with all the homework in history?" she said, wide-eyed.

"Oh- I haven't had history yet," you explained.

"Really? 'Cause I thought Peter had your whole schedule down by memor-" Ned began stuffing food in his mouth while talking before MJ put a hand over his mouth.

"What?" you asked, turning to Peter. He just shrugged while his ears grew red at the tips. He obviously knew but was playing dumb.

"Okay- well it's my last class so at least I didn't start the day off bad," you said.
