Today was a boring Tuesday. You just had a small bit of homework which you finished in each class thankfully. Lunch was awesome, and Peter walked you to lunch from class again. You thought about what you might do on the weekend as you walked. More silent than usual, Peter constantly asked if you were okay. In truth, you were just zoned out. After a while of asking you thought that maybe he had also zoned out, due to his quietness.
"Are you good?" you nudged him. He smiled at you goofily.
"What? You think I lost connection with the world too?" he asked.
"Kinda, yeah," you told him. He just nudged you back before pointing at one of the lockers. It had a few Spiderman stickers on it, but otherwise seemed just as normal as the rest.
"That's my locker," Peter said.
"A big fan of Spiderman huh?" you asked him.
"You could say that," he said while rubbing the back of his head. You would memorize that locker number now, as he had memorized yours which you didn't know about.
During lunch, Peter suggested walking you home since you figured out yesterday that your houses were in the same direction. Well... your "house". You still had yet to tell them, since you didn't want to be treated any differently. Not that you thought they would treat you badly, you just didn't want to be worshipped because of your dad or living with the Avengers.
It was hard enough for your dad to disguise your entry and exit of the tower every day to get to the car for school. Walking home was something that wasn't permitted usually, but during the holiday season was a must as you had reasoned. There was a secret entrance because of your new walking habit regardless. That way, no media would have any chance of glimpsing your true identity. Until you decided you were ready to reveal yourself as Y/n Stark, it would all be hidden away.
You agreed to walk home with Peter, albeit with some hesitancy.
Later after seventh hour, you went to his classroom again. The teacher was there that time, so you spoke to him about a question you had made up about the upcoming test. The test would be hard for you anyway since it was a science school and they loved to make it worse for the kids. You always had to work for good grades in that class. Peter seemed to get it too easy, maybe you would study with him some time.
Peter waited patiently for you by the door and when you turned to him and nodded, he smiled and reached out his hand before catching himself. He retracted it quickly, instead grabbing his phone.
"Sorry about that," you glanced at him. He turned his phone on for a split second before stuffing it back in his pocket.
"All good, ready to go?" he asked. You nodded as you walked out of the doors of the high school. It would be a long walk home, but you usually enjoyed it.
"How's your day been?" Peter asked, breaking the silence.
"It was actually pretty chill. The experiment in science was fun! I see you still have some goggle marks from that."
