["One of us must die."]

"You promised you'd tell him!"  Yelizaveta chased me while I picked up every weapon I had on the table.

I took the knife that I had hidden behind the picture frame, and placed it on my side. "I didn't promise anything to anyone." I answered, moving from my room to the bustling part of the house down the stairs.

"But I'm not anyone. You promised me that. He has every right to know–"

I interrupted her by spinning her around and facing me. "He's nothing. Just a fucking bastard and a traitor. I won't let him be a part of this, and after all this shit's over, I'll make sure he burns six feet under the ground with his family."

With that I turned and went to find my father.

It's been seven days since Ivan's murder. Five days since I met with Hunter and his cousin, and wounded him in the leg. Only two more hours until combat.

"Dimitri." I turned my brother so he is facing me. "Where is my father?"

He motioned with his head towards the living room. As I started walking, Dimitri grabbed my hand, stopping me.

"Maybe you should wait a bit." He told me, a worried look playing on his face as he raised his head towards the way to the living room. "Your parents... give them a chance to say goodbye."

I nodded, turning in the direction where Dimitri was looking. I can hear my mother calling out, pleading as my father explains to her why she should stay.

"We fight together, we die together. We made vows to each other twenty-six years ago."

"I know." My father was telling her, and I could see their figures moving towards us. "Think about the children. What will become of them?"

"Children?! Ivan is dead, and Maria is blindly following you in every fight you go into. After this, I won't have children." My mother cried and I had to resist running and throwing myself into her arms.

You won't lose me, mom. I will avenge Ivan's name and the names of all the people who died for us.

I felt something strange when I got out of the car as the cold wind slapped my face. The street we're passing through is the same one where Hunter confessed to me. When he said that he had to execute the future leader, kill Ivan and stab me in the back.

With any luck, he'll die on that street.

"Spread out. We don't know if they are here or if they will come to this place."  My father announced when all seventeen cars were parked next to us.  "I don't fucking care what they bring. Spill their guts so the concrete can't soak up their traitorous blood. Stick knives in their fucking dicks, and put your bullets where they deserve it. Tonight, they'll pay for all our children and family they killed. Let our name "Petrov" resound and let even the dead fear us!"
