"Hello...?"

A voice echoed inside her head, reverberating against the walls and it came from the far distance. Her mind was stuck in deep thought as she glanced at the files below her. A folder full of them stuck out on her desk, covered in messy notes and highlighted sections. Something about it had intensely consumed her thoughts in dread.

"Hello...earth to Sera...?"

"Oh!"

Seraphina glanced up at the woman who was calling for her. A woman with short hair, dressed in her lab coat. Rebecca Chambers, a woman she would get to know well over the years after getting to work with her. A person she deeply admired. When the murders and virus cases were popping up in the city, both of them worked to find the cure and what's causing it. Even after endless nights.

"Sorry. I must be tired today." She said softly with a sigh. Seraphina peered over at her cellphone sitting next to the files. No new notifications popped as of yet. Rebecca took notice of her fleeting glances and had a small smile, placing a gentle hand on her shoulders. It was if she could read her friend's flurried thoughts.

"Seems like you miss someone, huh? Take a break and you can come back once you feel better. Take your time," Rebecca grinned, knowing well who the person she was waiting for is. Of course friends were always curious about those kind of things.

"Tell him he needs to shape up. He's worrying you so much."

"Thanks, Rebecca. Don't worry, he's just busy. I'll be quick." Seraphina laughed softly at her comment and nodded. Taking her cellphone, a light blush coated her face. It had been so long since she'd met him back in Raccoon City. Yet she couldn't help but act like a helpless girl when she had to face him.

Ring. Ring...

"Hello?" The voice on the other side had picked up.

"Leon, it's me...I wanted to talk to you."

"You say that as if I don't know recognize the sound of your voice," Leon's own voice was beginning to break apart, as if he was somewhere far and in the open. The noise of something rushing against the cellphone intensified. That sound was wind and static. It wasn't long before she knew what he was doing at the moment. "Sorry, I'm kind of in the middle of something right now."

"You're on your motorcycle, aren't you? Be careful." Seraphina warned him with a even redder face. At least he wasn't calling by video or else Leon would have teased her to death. Recognizing the sound of her voice...? She wasn't sure what exactly he meant by that, especially when he spoke in a mischievous tone.
