Shavronne walked with Luka to his room, then stopped, trying to figure out how to say what he was thinking. "Is this about the call shav? Or Kelli, cause I really don't think-" Shavronne cut him off "it isn't about either. Well... I do need to talk to you about the call as well but..." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. Why was everything so complicated? He looked at Luka, who was waiting patiently for him to continue. Business first, he decided. "Well, first, about the call, Libelle. Benji called me. The ritual is almost ready. I know you might have forgotten with everything-" Luka shook his head "I know, I just wasn't sure if you were coming or not. I was about to ask you for permission to go, before everything happened." Shavronne smiled. Luka was so sweet... some things were simpler than he made them, he thought. "You don't need my permission, Libelle. But yes, I would like to come, in case anything goes wrong, and well... I'm curious. I still have yet to see much magic in action." Luka nodded and reached out, taking shavronnes hand. It was an effort not to flinch away. He was still... unused to getting affection. He gently took the others hands in his. Luka looked up into his eyes, making his heart pound at the trust in them "What is the other thing?" Shavronne blushed, and though he wanted to look away, he didn't. "I... would like to share a room tonight... I've been... having nightmares, worse than usual, and I hope that having you by my side might quell them." Luka smiled a bit, blushing as well. "I'd be happy to..." Luka walked with him to his room, and he chewed his tongue lightly in anxiousness. Gods, but he felt like ein Kind again. He led Luka in, then shut the door. "I'm going to change in the bathroom Luka, feel free to use the closet." He grabbed a set of nightclothes and walked into the bathroom. He changed, eyeing his new and old scars, magic had helped the healing process along on many of the newest, but they still left cruel, harsh shapes on his skin. He left off the shirt, knowing it would just end up soaked in sweat when he began dreaming. He thought back to his last dream. He'd been a child again, sobbing, alone, in an endless night. Cody was nowhere to be found, and he couldn't even remember Luka having met him. Closing in... the screams... drowning in the blood of his victims... they were clawing- his thoughts were interrupted by a gentle knock on the door. He went to it, opening it, and he stopped stock still as he came to see Luka, his body mostly obscured by a large nightclothing shirt of his, but his slender legs... they were bared to the night, old scars nearly gone, but... he was pulled back to the current moment of Luka laying a hand on his chest, blushing as he looked up at shavronne. "Where am I sleeping tonight shav?" Shavronne swallowed "that ah... is your choice. I will take the couch, if you need the bed to yourself..." Luka shook his head and just grabbed shavronnes hand, leading him to the bed, and sitting down before patting a spot beside him "shav, if you need someone to sleep with to feel safe, I don't think sleeping away from that person will do much. And besides... I um... I want to look at your scars, your body... I know you so well, but this.." He met luka's eyes and finished the sentence "...is new." Luka nodded, and they lay together, hands intertwined as their free hands ran over scars old and new, getting to know the shape of each other. Luka fell asleep on shavronnes chest soon after, and Shavronne softly rubbed his lovers back, kissing his head "goodnight Libelle. Sleep well, for tomorrow is unknown. " Shavronne fell into a mercifully empty sleep for the first time in months.
The next morning, they got ready together, Cody bringing them their clothes. Luka lounged a bit, smiling at shavronne when he looked over at him "they want us there early Libelle, we had better get a move on." Luka pouted in mock moodiness "Allright. If you say so" He kissed Shavronne lightly and got dressed in the middle of the room with Shavronne. Last night had broken down a lot of the hesitations they both felt. Shavronne tried to keep his eyes to himself, though he couldn't help himself from sneaking glances at Luka, his soft, pretty Form fully visible for the first time. Shavronne blushed heavily, though it helped when he noticed Luka doing the same. Shavronne didn't particularly understand. Where luka's body was lovely and gentle curves, nearly flawless skin, and an enticing tan, shavronnes was all hard lines, cruel scars, and pale drabness. Well, he knew he wasn't ugly, many told him he was beautiful, including Luka, though he had trouble seeing what they saw. He finished getting ready, then helped Luka tie his tie and kissed him lovingly "Let us go, Libelle. The day awaits. " Luka agreed cheerfully, and they headed out, getting into shavronnes car, a heavily modified McLaren p1. It had various mods to make it more versatile and useful to shavronne, from bulletproof lining and windows, to a slightly raised suspension to help it handle non standard roads, albeit at the cost of a little speed. But nonetheless, it was a speedy little car, and they arrived at luka's old dwelling with the coven in near record time. Luka got out, running to hera and Richie, Benji just behind them, and Shavronne followed at a more controlled pace. He shook hands with each of the covens members, and he let them lead him to a little clearing they had, in the middle of which was a large gazebo adjacent structure, which had countless carvings and symbols in the wood. In preparing for tonight's event, Benji explained, they had carved a special circle, which would serve as both a summons and a communication. Benji eyed him "I hope you understand, this world is about to become much less safe for any with evil intent." Shavronne nodded "I am aware of what this will entail. I would like Cody to be here as well, if it isn't too much to ask. You know his heritage, I'm hoping this may... help him somehow." Benji nodded "you may send for him, but uriel and Kelli must stay back, is that understood? This is a sacred event, and there's a great deal of moving parts." Shavronne agreed and sent for Cody via his phone. Tonight was important. Tonight would change everything. Time to put evil back on it's toes.
