The purpose of this introduction is to give the readers a brief account of what this fanfiction is about. If you have already watched the 1st season of Good Omens, you won't be needing this introduction.
The two protagonists of the story are Aziraphale, an angel and Crowley, a demon. Both of them have been sent to the mortal world by Heaven and Hell respectively to "work" with the humans to bring about "The Great Plan". This plan is basically the Armageddon which essentially means a war between the forces of good and evil (Heaven and Hell), resulting is total destruction of the mortal world and the triumph of one of the supernatural worlds. However, since Aziraphale and Crowley have been continuously crossing each others paths since the very beginning, they develop a unique friendship. Though one of them is an angel and the other a demon who are hereditary enemies, they grow closer to each other over the course of a long six thousand years. When the Armageddon really comes along, Aziraphale and Crowley oppose it and work together to prevent the event altogether. Fortunately, they are successful in doing so and the Armageddon is avoided. However the forces of Heaven and Hell aren't happy with these two at all. It is them that has ruined their attempt at the long awaited war between Heaven and Hell. So the other demons kidnap Crowley and the angels capture Aziraphale. The demons attempt to kill Crowley by disintegrating him with holy water and the angels try to burn Aziraphale with Hell fire. None of these work however as the two friends had already switched bodies to save themselves. When they are released back in the mortal world by the astonished people of their respective realms, they switch back in secrecy. The season ends on the positive note and they mutually agree that the demon is, in fact, a little "good at heart" and the angel is "just enough of a bastard to be worth knowing."
The chemistry between our favourite angel-demon duo is undeniable and exceptionally romantic. It's subtle, but it's there. And this story is all about me fantasizing over their eternal love story.
