"let's go over the counts again" my friend imena says pulling down her cheer skirt
"bro no we been going over the counts all fucking morning" i grumble in annoyance
"just don't fuck up when we get out there then tf" imena rolls her eyes and i scoff
"i've been cheering since elementary, why would i fuck up" i scrunch my face up
"because literally everyone is going to be there" she sighs plopping down on the couch next to me
"we need to start going though" i say looking at my phone time
"it's already 7?" she asks in surprise and i nod getting up
i grab my uniform from the table deciding to get ready at the school
"let's go" i say grabbing my keys heading to the front door with her behind me
-AT SCHOOL GAME
"why tf would she make us come so early when we perform at 9" imena groans leaning on the gym lockers as i sit on the bench with my uniform on my lap
"i'm bouta go shower" i say and she nods leaving out of the gym
i grab my clothes placing them on the bench before reaching in my duffel bag grabbing all of my shower necessities
i suddenly hear footsteps making me look towards the door seeing my coach and teammate Taliyah
i look at taliyah taking notice to her burgundy wig and long eyelashes
taliyah looks me over for a second before leaning her body on the doorframe
"only one shower is working girls, so y'all gonna have to hurry up so the other can shower" she says and i nod already deciding i was going first
she leaves immediately after making me continue grabbing all my stuff to take to the shower
i notice out of the corner of my eye taliyah doing the same
"i'm going first" i scrunch my face up
"no you aren't" she scoffs putting her bonnet on about to walk into the shower
