"She's cute" my mom mumbles as she looks through my phone
"I ain't know you liked girly girls" she side eyes making me take my phone back and turn it off
"Me either" i say standing up from the couch
"Well when am i going to meet her" she asks staring up at me from her position on the couch
"It's literally only been like a month.." i mug her and she shakes her head
"When you know, you know" she smiles lightly.
"I knew with your mom" she follows up making me raise my eyebrow.
"You obviously didn't if y'all didn't last" i respond making her smile falter a little
"We just didn't match each other's values anymore" she sighs once more grabbing the remote
I leave it at that, walking back upstairs towards my room
-NIGHT TIME
"Why can't i just come through the door" Sonai grumbles in annoyance over the phone
"You can but i don't want my mom asking a bunch of questions" i respond tidying up my room a little
"I'm pulling up now" she says hanging up not too long after
I quietly make my way out of my room before heading downstairs seeing my mom still on the couch
Only now she was knocked out
I tiptoe towards the kitchen, finally arriving at the back door
I silently pray knowing this door squeaks
I turn the knob quickly opening it so it won't make too much noise
I squint in the dark seeing a figure moving before finally coming into the porch light.
i smile at Sonai but she just rolls her eyes back at me before pushing me out the way
my face scrunches up at her attitude but i ignore it as i close the door softly behind her
I tap her shoulder making her head turn to me a little as I put a finger over my mouth making her shake her head walking out of the kitchen towards the stairs
