Part-1

Chapter. 5

*"(No one's POV)"*

A few minutes later they managed to tie the boat to a rock. The rope was long enough to tie around a big and spiky rock. It'll hold, at least til they are done with checking out the island's prison.

Everything seemed normal, if you mean normal as in dark, mysterious and uncomfortable. Then yes, normal.

Hope kept her cool, most because she was very focused on the mission. Luca tried to play it off but he was quit a scaredy cat. And talking about cats Ruzzel was not it, he was determined to follow his trusted owner, Hope, to help her with whatever.

The three adventurous stood right beside where the boat had been tied to the shore. That's when Hope spoke up "So Bob, I need you to stay put. Move a muscle and you won't see anything else than the endless sea."
"I get it WOMAN. Either way I'm better than dose shifty pirates, I won't leave a bunch of kids on a deserted spooky island." Bob answered with an teasing voice.

Hope gave Bob a death glare but decided she was going to be the bigger person and walked it off.

Hope, Luca and Ruzzel made their way to the foot of the mountain. It was tall, so tall you couldn't see the end of it because the dark clouds surrounded the top.

Luca began to feel nervous and unwell. He now starts to regret skipping PE class. "Are we really about to climb that..thing." Luca said nervously "it's taller than the Ghost peak mountain's!"
He continued while throwing his hands in the hair for dramatic affect.

"Luca, the prison is located on the very top of the mountain. Besides a little activity won't kill ya." Hope said with a smile. She liked staying healthy and fit, same with Ruzzel. But the little magician couldn't agree.

They started there walk upwards. First they had to climb up some hills before they came across some stairs.

"These stairs will take us to the top of the mountain." Hope said pointing upwards.

Luca gave a huge sigh, you could practically hear it from the other side of the lands.

They started making their way up the stairs, well Hope and Ruzzel did. Luca was a little behind taking a bunch of breaks. Hope had enough of that and started to drag him up by the arm.

They walked in dead silent, the only sounds was wind and their own footsteps. Luca don't really like the silent, but he didn't know how to break it. The boy was in for a surprise when someone else started the conversation.

"So I've been wondering?" Hope suddenly asked out of nowhere, and it made Luca have a shocked expression on him.

Without caring for Luca's reaction she continued.

"I've been wondering, back in Whales doom when Bob bumped into you and you fell. You dropped something, a curled up paper. What was that?"

Luca took a moment wondering how to lie himself out of this one before he answered. "THAT OH, nothiiiiing, really! Just a cheesy letter form my parents nothing much!" Luca was pleased with his answer as he smiled awkwardly at Hope.

Hope was suspicious about it, but she didn't want to go further with it.

Finely, they made it to the top. Luca felt like his whole body was dying, and even Hope was breathing heavily.

"So what now, there's nothing here." Luca said while desperately trying to get up and failing to do so.

Hope looked around and gave an answer "I read it in the books, there should be a door of some sort."

"A dOor?!" Luca asked, very curious about how a door can hold a bunch of magical cursed shadows imprisoned. Like how?!

Hope and Ruzzel began looking around. Until Ruzzel found something and alerted the other two.

When Hope and Luca followed Ruzzel, they saw it. A giant door, decorated with gold around it and with markings carved into the wood. It was covered with dead tree branches. Even though it looked dead, it was quit the sight for sore eyes. And in the middle, you can see a carving of a person.

"Woooooww, that's a big door!" Luca announced the obvious. It was at least three normal doors high.

"It doesn't look like it has moved in centuries." Hope wondered out loud. She walked up to the door now standing in front of it.

"What are you doing?" Luca asked, feeling the fear of a shadow coming out of that door.

"Im just looking"

"You aren't seriously thinking of opening that door!"

"Im just taking one peak."

"HOPE ARE YOU CRAZY!?"

"I just need to check"

Hope started opening the door slowly and carefully. Luca held Ruzzel in his arms and closed his eyes.

Then, it was opened.

Nothing happened. No sound, no shadows, nothing!

Luca opened one of his eyes, seeing that nothing is wrong he relaxed.

"Eeeehh, weren't something supposed to happen? Something is supposed to happen, right?" Luca asked, looking around.

"Where are all the shadows?" Hope said behind the door. There were a dark tunnel that echoed her words.

They all paused to think for a moment before Luca came up with a not so believable story.

"Maybe they all went out for lunch?" He said. Hope looking back at him with a stare of annoyance.

"There must be an explanation for this, the shadows can't just disappear. Maybe this is part of the problem about that shadow who escaped." Hope said, starting to walk inside the tunnels.

"You seriously are gonna walk inside there" Luca said.

"I have to, something doesn't add up" Hope answered continuing walking. "Besides, there are no shadows here, clearly."

Luca took a moment to think whether to stay or go after her, eventually he made up his mind. He didn't want to be alone so he followed her and Ruzzel, staying right behind them.

They walked deeper into the dark and uncomfortably silent tunnel. The only thing that could be heard was Hope, Luca and Ruzzels footsteps.

After a few minutes of walking the tunnel got so dark they needed some light. Hope searched for some wood and found some special rocks. She once read a book about how to make a torch.

After some handy crafting she managed to make one. After that little set back they ventured more deeper into the tunnel, much to Luca's dismay. He gets spooked easily, and a shadow popping out of no where like in the forest dose not sound nice.
